Leather Cases - Patina Proud Photos

So here is my little dilemma. I work at a restaurant where I cook. I wash my hands more than any regular person should do on in a week span. Always on a constant motion through out the day (esp during service), but no matter what I feel like I'm always going to get my case dirty. My last cases have always been been pretty good patina with the brown saddle for my iPhone 6s. Should I just not worry and let the ease as it is? I actually have only used it one time and I feel like it's been a waste since I purchased it at launch with the iPhone 13pro max.

Edit: I have the Sequoia Green leather case. Anyone have a photos of them after a couple of months of usage?

2.5 week update on iPhone 13 mini golden brown leather case patina, very happy with the progress very even patina complete with factory cow stripes, gives me the bullstrap sienna vibes but the quality and fitment of apple, last pic is day one still plenty of weathering in to come but after stripping the coating I’m very sure it will look like the old iPhone 6-11 saddle brown cases.
Not sticky at all and has the shiny sheen of leather unlike the rough texture that comes with sanding the leather

Did you use oil or leather balm to forced patina or that 's just from normal use?

Once the coating was removed patina happened very quickly just like the old saddle brown cases, believe it or not no oil or balms used just daily use, touching it as much as you can, I’ve controlled the darkening of the edges by wiping daily with a damp cloth with water only to make sure all sides of the case are the same shade

Time to switch it up. Here’s 3 months on the Nomad and it’s honestly one of my favorite cases. The buttons grew on me even though they aren’t metal/metallic and it survived 2 drops no problem. I will probably be putting it back on in the near future but for now, bring on the midnight!

I finally found a winner! This is the kings loot leather case. It’s just like the apple leather case but with better quality leather. I posted a previous post about it, but the pictures didn’t do it justice. The buttons are perfect and the bottom is protected as well 👍🏼

Is it bulkier than the apple leather?

No, it’s the exact same dimensions of the Apple leather case. The lip is the same and everything is the same. It’s just the leather is amazing. It was hard for me to use the apple leather case after being spoiled with the quality of bull strap’s leather. So I’m stoked I found a perfect middle ground. And I don’t have to worry about the bottom being open.

The shipping in my country is $67, total $137, so does not worth it.

I have both and while I never dropped the Andar, I have dropped the Nomad twice and it was fine. I have more confidence the Nomad would fare better than Andar if that’s any help.

Oh yah, totally agree. I have dropped the nomad twice from the stairs about 7-8 ft and phone was fine. I just miss the leather feeling when holding the phone. I don’t get the leather feeling when holding the nomad.

I have two Andars but never had a chance to test their drop protection since the bottom corners never fit. Two thumbs way down.

Stopped getting leather cases but the poppy yellow wallet I’ve had since the 13 pro launch aged like a hot mess. 😂 I finally got a new case and wallet today.

The case can be a bit smelly at the moment, not sure if it's the leather or some chemicals but it can be a little irritating, im guessing it will wear off in a few days though

Bullstrap ocean on my green 13 mini, cant decide if I like this combo or not. One thing I really dont like - the Bullstrap logo is not in the middle, but little bit on the left. Probably Friday 5pm case…

Personally I don’t like the green with case. You could easily mask that with a skin or lens protector though.

The logo isn’t off center; it’s just the skinny horn taking up lateral space moves the bulk of it left; doesn’t bother me at all but to each their own.

All that said, if it really is stamped wrong their warranty will cover it. Just request a replacement due to manufacturer defect.

I promised myself I was done with cases/iPhone 13 Pro accessories until the new model comes out, but I caved and decided to try out a nomad leather skin. I love it, despite the limited to no protection. It’ll be nice to rock the phone almost naked until the 14 Pro.
