Apple leather cases don’t even patina correctly. Now how they used to. You obviously don’t own a Bullstrap. The leather quality is top notch. Apple leather is full of paint that prevents a decent patina.

People will always point out the negative reviews which is why Apple removed reviews from being posted on their site for all their products back in 2019 and which is why apple probably got rid of the leather that use to patina. I do recall people crying as to why their saddle brown would darken so quickly and wear out. Lol

This used to be an Apple leather cases thread but the thread got hijacked. I don’t want a BS or a Nomad. They are junk. I have 3 Apple Leather cases for my 13PM and they are top notch. I for one am tired of hearing of BS. First off the name is ridiculous and last but not least you guys speak of them so highly as if they split the atom. It’s a crappy case with Chinese leather and an open bottom which is so 2016.

I have no idea what you're smoking. I have every available Apple leather case for my 12PM, and every available Bullstrap and Nomad case. Nomad and Bullstrap are by far better in almost every aspect. They actually patina, because they are really leather, and not spray painted leatherette. I have yet to get any patina from any of my Apple leather cases, except the Saddle Brown that I force patinad. Nomad and Bullstrap are real leather. You can smell and feel it. The Apple ones smell and feel like cheap plastic.

Not in the habit of arguing with or proving my point to people on the subway or on the streets and the same goes for Internet forums. It is precious time wasted. Also don't have to prove anything to anyone. I don't smoke anything. I'm very happy with my Apple Leather cases and I think they're the best. The feel, the logo, etc.
That new dune color is looking sexy. I’m rocking the pitaka but I’m really leaning towards that BS dune.
I'm really curious how this color wears in. I've been wanting to get one, since I have all their other colors. It has me skeptical because of how poorly Apple lighter colors patina'd (California Poppy to be exact). I'm really hoping it darkens nicely. I'm loving my Ocean case and Midnight band. I'll try to get it a pic tomorrow. Bullstrap's Ocean color was the closest thing I could get to match the Midnight leather band. Regardless, I'm digging your set up.
Let’s move on here, you like what you like. Just don’t get upset with third cases being posted on here. I’m sure we wouldn’t be having this convo if apple wouldn’t have changed their leather quality.
if someone who used both BS and KingsLoot, which leather quality is better?
Do you have pictures of your kings loot case? There is a sale and I am debating if I want to get the buckskin or classy brown.

Yes imo the quality is on par with BS. It’s hard to tell patina wise though because I got the dark blue one to match my sierra blue iPhone. But I think you’ll be very pleased with the king’s loot case!

Thanks! If the leather is on par with BS and I much prefer the closed bottom, kings loot might be the way to go for me. It’s $48 shipped (taxes & insurance included) versus BS $80/90 shipped. I know their lifetime replacement isn’t as good as BS but I usually keep my iPhone 1-2 years maxed.
How is the fitment?
I am going to give classy brown a try instead of the buckskin. Hopefully I won’t regret it. I hope the classy brown becomes like Nomads rustic brown.

Shipping is based on weight / size of the box. Discount applies to quantity but quantity adds up which affects the shipping cost. Buy local. If a company does not provide free shipping then they should go OOB.
I understand. In KL’s case, it might not. It said to use “ADDON” code to save on shipping and avoid paying additional shipping costs after I paid for my item.
