I ordered the umber cases can you can confirm the case is the same is last year or is it different?

Yes the material, I’m pretty excited that since umber looks even darker than saddle brown and especially that nasty golden brown lol it should blend a bit better with the dark corners if worst comes to worst I’ll have to go back to BullStrap. Mine should be arriving tomorrow

It does look nice with gold. I am cautiously optimistic about the patina this year.
Same, just ordered both gold and the apple umber. On another note. I dont think we will see very good patina with the current sharp edges and camera bump of the new phones. I have had the Horween leather platinum base from BB since last years launch. It has decent patina but again its mostly on the corners and metal camera bump. the middle back of the phone really doesn't see enough wear for it to patina evenly like the xs max did with its nice rounded corners and sat flat. That old case is still going strong and the patina is unbelievable at this point in time.
Apple downgraded the leather process so even compared to iPhone 5S leather cases, the 12 and onward Patina horribly by chipping away. It has much more to do with the leather itself than the shape.
Disappointing with the feel. Sounds like will wear the same, like you said. Probably will still order. Like the fit and buttons. They wear really well just not good patina look like before ip12. I would like to see or hear about the cases where people removed the finish. What look like after year or two.
Never heard of that happening. Even if it did they allow cosmetic replacements via their lifetime warranty. The leather is way better than Apples and the edges are slightly more rounded which almost gives it a pre-12 series feel.
No problem with that here. I would say it’s maybe a tad thicker than the Apple ones?
I remember those corners too. I never glued anything down, I just ditched the case.
Yep I know all about it and That horrible babyshit yellow they had last year as well. That's why I ended up with the horween platinum case which has been great but hard to get a decent patina just due to the shape vs the older rounder devices. It's the shape that makes a big difference.
