I have both the Andar and Blackbrook case for my 14 pro max, purchased the Andar first. Comparing the two, they are virtually the same case imo. Both have a tight fit which I wanted, same style design, same amount of lip and camera protection, both are full grain leather, which is the best you can get. Now, there are some slight differences. The smell on the Andar is just intoxicating imo, I could smell it all day. The Blackbrook on the other hand doesnt really have that deep smell of leather, I’m guessing because it has this suede/nubuck type of coating, Andar has oil waxed leather. Next are the buttons. Both are fine but BB seems to have more “clickyness” vs Andar’s responsive but kinda mushy at the same time. And finally, feel in hand. While I’ve only had the BB for less than 24hr, I’ve had the Andar for about 3 weeks almost and I prefer it over the weird dry feeling of the BB, maybe that will change as it patina. So, if I had to pick a winner right now its Andar, but not by much. Again, I literally just got the BB case 8pm last night and hasnt even been 12hr with it. Was thinking about returning it as soon as I open it, just because they both are very similar but I will keep it to see how it ages.

The Andar feels very solid in the hand. Makes you want to hold the phone more. Very different from apple’s. You can really tell the quality difference.

I have no idea what some of y’all are doing with your cases but here’s my launch day Umber with daily use. I don’t baby it, other than the occasional light cleaning with an alcohol wipe (I know, I know). Comparing this to the wear after one week on the iPhone 12PM leather … if you zoom in on the case edges you can see the dark lines starting to develop.

I just got my Ryan London case for my iPhone 14 Pro Max today - the fit is very snug and the buttons are very tactile (more so than the Apple leather case this year, which I have). It's slippery for now but the smell and feel are incredible. Quality is immense and I'm very happy with my purchase!

Launch day 14 Pro Midnight case, just over 3 weeks ago. MagSafe ring is visible but that's fine and what I expected. Surprisingly the first sign of wear is right above the ring/silent switch. It's faint, but it's there. I don't baby the phone or case but I also don't treat it poorly just because.

idk about prolonging the case but the excessive oils will make the leather darken more quickly

No, I dropped my other dune and a chunk came out of it. So I did the warranty and was planning on keeping my 13 pro until I found out Tmobile was doing the $1000 trade in value. So I got the 14 pro for free and have no use for this case.

Launch day orange Apple leather case update. Decided my meticulous cleaning was probably doing more harm than good. Just going to let it darken. Its showing a reddish color underneath the camera where there is the most wear

The black leather has been my jam for the past couple of years. If I get tired of Umber, I'm getting this! What a classy combo!

Just got it.
There’s some imperfections around the buttons, like it’s missing some glue.
All in all, considering that I wanted a closed bottom and the price I would pay for an Andar, I like it.

This was the first result on "DIY leather balm". My wife and kid were in a DIY-bath-bomb phase at the time so I had most of the ingredients. Made one batch based on the quantities shown about 1.5 yrs ago and still have 1/2 left...seems to work but I have nothing to compare to.
