I’ve never had an issue. The bottom bumpers on the corners will absorb the drop. They also have the best warranty. You can’t beat their lifetime warranty 💯Bullstrap users… how protective are those open bottom cases?
I haven't used Bullstrap (yet) but back in the day I loved the open bottom of the Apple cases.Bullstrap users… how protective are those open bottom cases?
Best advice is probably stay away from leather lol because it is going to rip or maybe even peel when droppedWith over 10,000 posts now, it's hard to keep up.
I'm still trying to find a good leather case. I currently have an iPhone 14 Pro.
Apple Leather: paper-thin (one drop and it tears).
The versions for the iPhone 12/13/14 also fit poorly. The slightest pressure and a corner pops out. This means *zero* protection. I didn't feel safe with this on my iPhone 12 Pro, and while the case felt a little tighter on my iPhone 14 Pro, it took only one drop for me to realize the case is garbage.
The Nomad case on my iPhone 12 Pro had crazy stiff / difficult-to-press buttons. I liked the protection, but found the case to be a pain to use.
Are the newer Nomad cases better? Are Lonli cases any good?
1) The biggest thing I'm looking for is something that snaps snuggly to the phone. A corner of the phone shouldn't just pop out because the case doesn't fit right.
2) I want something that wont rip or peel when dropped.
3) I want something that protects all sides. I've used a case that was open on the bottom, and when I dropped my phone that is exactly where it took a catastrophic hit.
Spigen can make a $15 TPU case that snaps snuggly on all corners but Apple's can't make a $60 case that fits right?
I tried the Nomad case this year for my 14 Pro, the buttons are excellent. That was the only flaw in the past IMO. It's perfect this yearWith over 10,000 posts now, it's hard to keep up.

I view the thinness of the Apple leather case as a positive, but yeah, the obvious downside is that thin case = thin, delicate leather. My phone took a two fall onto a parking lot and it gouged a bunch of the leather on the corner right off. Phone was okay, at least. With over 10,000 posts now, it's hard to keep up.

Interesting but not sure if it has built in MagSafe magnets.. only says support for it. Nowhere on the site to be found. While browsing the World Wide Web I ran into these:

It said pre order and would ship “mid October”How long did it take to arrive?
Care for any pics? Thanks in forward. Always interesting to see a RL case in normal pictures. It said pre order and would ship “mid October”
It was sent Royal Mail 48hr late Thursday, arrived Saturday.
It’s a tight fit - so much so that I think I won’t take it back off - I have a chunky case for when i’m doing DIY, but I might just get a neoprene or hard case to put the phone in now rather than remove the leather case.
Very happy with the texture, look, fit, smell. I hope it wears well and lasts the lifetime of the phone.
Usually I go case-less, and don’t like cases
I have both the Andar and Blackbrook case for my 14 pro max, purchased the Andar first. Comparing the two, they are virtually the same case imo. Both have a tight fit which I wanted, same style design, same amount of lip and camera protection, both are full grain leather, which is the best you can get. Now, there are some slight differences. The smell on the Andar is just intoxicating imo, I could smell it all day. The Blackbrook on the other hand doesnt really have that deep smell of leather, I’m guessing because it has this suede/nubuck type of coating, Andar has oil waxed leather. Next are the buttons. Both are fine but BB seems to have more “clickyness” vs Andar’s responsive but kinda mushy at the same time. And finally, feel in hand. While I’ve only had the BB for less than 24hr, I’ve had the Andar for about 3 weeks almost and I prefer it over the weird dry feeling of the BB, maybe that will change as it patina. So, if I had to pick a winner right now its Andar, but not by much. Again, I literally just got the BB case 8pm last night and hasnt even been 12hr with it. Was thinking about returning it as soon as I open it, just because they both are very similar but I will keep it to see how it ages.I am so ready for mine to get here Friday!
That’s not a Blackbrook case he got, that’s a knock off or something. I literally just received my Barlow case yesterday and it looks NOTHING like that. The case is fully leather, no black plastic nowhere. If you want black plastic just stick with Apple’s leather case.Stay far away from that brand.

Or without phone. Just of the case.I’ll try and take some, will need to borrow someone else’s phone to do it
I wonder if those corners are just destined to get destroyed much faster than the curved edges on the 11 and prior.
Does Andar or other 3rd party with better leather get that grungy as quickly on the corners?

Second this phone is snug in the apple leather. Scuffed my leather case trying to get it off lolIf you don’t want it to rip or peel if dropped then don’t get a leather case.
FWIW, my apple leather is tight on all corners and fits loads better than last years
Third here. Apple case fits perfectly, only the Apple “patina” I don’t like. But fits better than the Nomad I have, but that could be a misbatch. A small pocket knife fixes it all. 😝 But needed it for work otherwise I could have exchanged it.Second this phone is snug in the apple leather. Scuffed my leather case trying to get it off lol
Your forrest green has aged similarly to my orange apple leather case. just overall darkened. Waiting on the camel tan to come back. Figured I rock the apple leather case thru October/Nov at least. Also just in part cus im curious how the orange will age. Orange magsafe wallet in the future maybeThird here. Apple case fits perfectly, only the Apple “patina” I don’t like. Will report how good the Ryan London and Bullstrap are when I receive them. Looking forward to that. RL will come this week. Bullstrap after 31/10..
I’m really disappointed with the apple
case regarding the “patina” already after three weeks owning the Forrest green.

Ordered Bullstrap Dune color last Monday. Will ship on or after 31/10. So will receive it probably half November at earliest.Looks like if you didn't get a bull strap order in before yesterday they've extended the shipping date out to mid-November.
