This is a weird question, I know a lot of you guys love the patina look, but is there a way to avoid it? I just recently picked up a Sattle brown case for my XS max and I like the color a lot I don’t want it to have the patina look with the black edges it just looks dirty imo, anyone here found a way to avoid the look by using some kind of cleaner?
Yes there is. Well, here in the UK at least. I’ve had the saddle brown for past iPhones. I now have an XR and sadly Apple don’t make a leather case.
You can restore the colour to almost, or sometimes as good as new, by using a renovating polish. It’s made for shoes and contains a dye. This one matches Apples saddle brown well:
Dasco Renovating Polish - Light Tan https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00GN6XZ2A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_WfnJCb0AXBZ74
You’ll need several applications of this polish but with a little time will bring back the colour of a leather case.
