Yup and its annoying to know that. Almost like they were trying to get one over on people.Yeah I'm not sure how this could happen. Did they not inspect a single case they shipped? Or were they hoping nobody would complain?

CEO had to say something only cause a lot of people came forward and expressed their frustration. If nobody said anything, bs wouldn’t care and continue to make people wait for months and ship out duds for $90.But they were clearly aware of these issues and yet still shipped them out. Kind of a #&$%& move if you ask me. They should have just scrapped all these and delayed until ones that met their standard came in. Its almost like we will send out whatever and the ones that complain or reach back out to us we will address and everyone from Nov 15 forward will get the revised versions.
Sent it last night around midnight, got a response this morning around 10:30am.How soon did you get this response after emailing them? I had sent a support message yesterday that I have added onto this morning but I have still not heard anything regarding adding a new order for me. No idea how long it takes them to respond.
They responded to me within an hour. I still find it odd the only communication around this is through Reddit. Either they are trying to let this fly under the radar and dealing with those who reach out or they are waiting until they have built up enough inventory from the good supplier in house to ship before making it public.Sent it last night around midnight, got a response this morning around 10:30am.
Coming to about six months. Slight improvement actually.

The bad batches seem to be isolated to the 14 Pro Max versions (specifically Sienna and Ocean) and it seems all the duds were manufactured in India (read the inside of your case) vs China. How am I able to tell if I have a bad batch BS case? I've never used them before. The case doesn't smell very leathery, and I did find that odd when I opened it up the first time.

Same here after BullStraps catastrophe I refrained from ordering a black one from them. Can you please share a photo of your caseBlack
Yes, I would if I were you. I already got my new order number for the request processed and in queue for the replacement. My case is made in India, IconIc215 helped me figure that out. Guess I'm sending an email

This was only after the first coat. Once the second coat dries, I will post an updated picture. It is a nice tasty dark brown now! Those who would like to purchase Apple's Umber leather case but hate that it doesn't patina like it used to can use Venetian Leather Balm on it. It immediately darkened mine to a nice dark brown color.
*Edit. Sorry, I forgot to post picture.
It looks great! Is it the Venetian imperial balm? Just want to make sure before I order on Amazon lol. This was only after the first coat. Once the second coat dries, I will post an updated picture. It is a nice tasty dark brown now!
Geez, the shading on those 4 cases are gorgeous. EnjoyJust got my navy Andar. For me it’s simply gorgeous! Here are some pics in different lighting.

I second this - I just received my AirPods Pro 2 case from RL - they shipped same day I ordered and I received it in 3 days (France). I received their leather case for my 14PM a month ago and I’m still wowed by it. The APP2 case is gorgeous as well - for anyone still on the fence, their cases are the real deal.

This makes me not even want to order from BS in the future. That’s very shady IMO.
Look I get it...in this day and age manufacturing and supply chain sucks. People waited this long for their product what is another two weeks or so. Instead, they ship out crap just to try to meet time deadlines and ignore the whole quality aspect. Also he should be communicating in other avenues besides Reddit because well...not everyone uses that so are left in the dark of what is really going on. Of course they will make it right, but the way they went about this whole launch sort of turns me off on them as a company. Its a shame too as these threads were filled with a lot of high praise for their products. They do appear to be owning up to it which I applaud but it should have never been this way in the first place.

That’s why I chose to buy from Andar. They’re just on it, taking orders in and their shipping time is lightning fast. They posted a story on ig behind the scenes showing the boxes of merch they’re shipping out. When I see that I can appreciate the work a small company does to make their customers happy and I feel confident in doing business with them again and again.

$90 for defective cases and having to wait months to get them? On top of that the ceo is only communicating through Reddit. Meanwhile I’m ordering Andar cases for approx $45 shipped and I get them in 3 days…. Bullstrap customers have a good reason to express their frustrations.I think y’all are being a little harsh. After seeing the message posted above, seems to me like they were in a bind and commissioned a new factory to help meet the demand and rather than inspecting them first they had them sent directly to customers to meet their revised deadlines.
Give them a chance to fix it and then make your judgements.

I mean it’s easy to say from someone outside looking in. Has this been a frustrating process…absolutely. Does it matter all that much to me to wait two more weeks…nope. It’s the lack of communication throughout these past two months that gets me. I get it they are owning up to the mistake and I give them credit. But there still hasn’t been anything formal sent out to the customers and I know there are more than just us on Macrumors and Reddit. If no one reached out to them about the quality, I have my doubts anything would have changed. But it is what it is at this point. They are trying to make it right so we’ll see what happens.Ryan London has the trophy this year, all day.
