You’re right, it does seem that way. Maybe that’s how they felt they would lost longer 🤦🏻‍♂️. It just made the quality go to ****.
That was my final straw. I emailed asking for either a refund or exchange if they can confirm it was a bad batch. If I get a refund i’m buying another andar case.

I feel kinda scammed now, these cases are super expensive and now they’re super cheap quality.
 
Coming to about six months. Slight improvement actually.

As much as I want the Andar Navy, I am liking the way my Midnight Apple Leather is feeling.

It started to get a little tacky the other day so I put some Swissvax Leather Milk on it and it's really softened it up. Feels really nice to the touch. Didn't use any cleaners before hand to make sure any coatings weren't removed.

If I can do this once a week and keep this case feeling the way it does hopefully it'll be enough to convince me into not needing another case 😂

I don't have purple but if I did I'd do the dark brown.

I got the dark brown for my purple because I didn’t like the shade of the Apple Umber. I also have the Ink and Midnight. I still prefer the Apple leather cases to the other brands I’ve tried (ANDAR, Bullstrap & Decoded) because of the fit, design and weight. I will post a picture of the dark brown ANDAR on my deep purple.

So has anyone heard anything else about a statement from Bullstrap?
I wonder if they will actually do a public statement (assuming the Reddit post was accurate) or just handle things behind the scenes. IF there were some bad batches so be it.....$^%& happens although that doesn't say much for their quality control. But even so, they will surely resolve it. But if its a matter of the manufacturing process at the two different locations which I think is what it looks like I doubt that is something they can fix right away. Certain colors seem to be produced in India and others in China.

Yeah I'd be surprised if there is any mention of it other than an email to this affected. I hope there is, I've held off on canceling to see what happens. I did send an email yesterday and have not gotten any sort of response yet.

I am sure as the days go by, more and more are going to reach out. Keep us posted when (if) you hear back. In the meantime, my RL case shipped in less than 24 hours after placing the order so I am happy with that movement so far.

I second this - I just received my AirPods Pro 2 case from RL - they shipped same day I ordered and I received it in 3 days (France). I received their leather case for my 14PM a month ago and I’m still wowed by it. The APP2 case is gorgeous as well - for anyone still on the fence, their cases are the real deal.

I needed another case for my 14 PM so I can use my collection of third-party lenses.
I ordered a navy leather case from Sandmarc with the aluminum screw plate insert.
Based on what I’m seeing in a lot of the photos on here, I’m a little put ofFEFA1C4C-E193-4288-9B5B-07B277E29BB9.jpegf by much of the “patina” I see.

Well it does look like there was a statement made in the Reddit sub assuming that is actually the CEO.

But they were clearly aware of these issues and yet still shipped them out. Kind of a #&$%& move if you ask me. They should have just scrapped all these and delayed until ones that met their standard came in. Its almost like we will send out whatever and the ones that complain or reach back out to us we will address and everyone from Nov 15 forward will get the revised versions.

Yeah I'm not sure how this could happen. Did they not inspect a single case they shipped? Or were they hoping nobody would complain?
