Leather Cases - Patina Proud Photos

2.5 month old camel tan.
I have a real problem with this case. It is so slippery I’ve had so many close calls and so many times where I’ve dropped my phone because it just slips out of my hand.

I’ve dropped the phone more times in the past 2 months than I ever did in my past 20 years of owning a cellphone.

The scuffs and marks do not make the case any prettier. I may need to switch to silicone or something else soon.

I noticed this with my new camel tan andar as well. I think the leather is waxed? I ended up using Lexol leather cleaner, followed by lexol leather conditioner. It made the case slightly tackier. But I'd guess after a while it might get slick again.

The first time I used a leather case was for an iphone XS. It was a saddle brown apple case which was also very slick. I made it a habit to pull it out of my pocket holding it by the face and back of the phone instead of the edges. Now with the removal of 3d touch, I'm always inadvertently activating things.

Got the ink leather case for the Deep Purple iPhone 14 Pro. Looks awesome. Thought it might look too purple, but not at all. Actually makes the phone look LESS purple. Took the below picture with jeans and brown leather chair to see the contrast.View attachment 2160803

My YMW crazy horse came in after years of usage of apple leather cases.

Just wow! What a nice smell, feeling and looks.

Only little thingy i can think of is what a thight fit is this case. You need a lot of force to put the phone in.

Bottom is closed. Nice cut outs for speakers and charging.

The fit is more tight than the apple ones.
And the case is a little more chunky

Your midnight is amazing with the lines 😍. Mine has faint ones but I sure love it! Midnight is def my favorite (even tho I previously said ink was). Midnight just looks fantastic with everything!

Andar? Was kind of considering getting the merlot but I read the metal camera protector chips and the leather remains slick. Lemme know!

No metal chips on mine, and the slickness goes away after a few weeks.

I love the new Merlot Andar Aspen! The leather on this color way seems different. Still great quality but with a good amount of grip from the start, unlike my camel tan Andar!

You can tell a difference. The Andar feels a little thicker. But mine is surprisingly not that slick out of the box 👍🏼👍🏼. The buttons are great and clicky and the leather smell is great as well!

My Apple case-Umber.. first iPhone, first leather case, probably nothing amazing for you guys but I love it, in real view and daylight looks a lot better than on the photos it's more brighter brown..

Honestly I always go back to apple leather because of the slim fit and great grip. But with this Merlot Andar, the grip is a lot better than my camel tan Andar. And the lip is so nice on the Andar, I might keep this Andar on for a long time. I’ll keep you guys updated!
