Haven't posted here in a while, so here's my current leather case lineup: Forest Green and Ink. Both doing great, despite the power button on Forest Green being a bit weird but I found a workaround. I picked up Ink not long ago, because. Couldn't resist ;)

Not much going on patina wise yet as I use both mostly during the week, and less on weekends, unless dressed-up occasions. I keep them clean and nourished using a leather balm.

I haven't seen many Forest cases here so far... is it an impression? It seems less popular than Midnight and Ink?

I like the forest green. Not as much as the sequoia green from previous.

Trouble is with the lighter green is how the sides turn black and it just looks rubbish

Anyone currently using the Andar Aspen in Jet Black for the 14 Pro/Pro Max?
I just received mine over the weekend for the 14 pro. Debating about exchanging it for the brown for the patina. The jet black is nice and stealth.

I want a forest green case so badly but can't deal with the black sides

Hi, all! I lurk here a lot, but wanted to order a leather case for my 13 Pro.

It looks like Sequoia green is coated/painted, so it just rubs off and looks black, correct? Is it the same for Dark Cherry? Seems like those will patina based on my search here, but also some folks are saying they don’t.

Always loved the brown leather cases from Apple and their patina, but seems a lot of them aren’t that same quality. I had a taupe case a while back that just got sticky and rubbed off so want to avoid that. Thank you!

If you’re looking for a nice Patina above all else go with Bullstrap, Ryan London, or Andar. If fit is your primary concern go Apple. Apples dark colours will age better.

I had a sequoia green case and the edges do darken but I wouldn’t say to black.

Hi all,
For those who have a Ryan London case, isn’t it too thicker ?
Do you know how thick the case is ?
Thanks.

Does anyone regret getting a black leather case because you can’t really see the patina?

Hi, I’m 13 Pro Max user since Jan 2022. Got it with Dark Cherry case. Out of the box this is by far the best color for 13 series iPhones.
About the ‘patina’... ~ after 3 months all the sides (except for the top) were black and after 5 months some black spots started to appear on the back. I’ve decided to patina it to even the wear using sand paper… which was a mistake 🙈.
About the color underneath the coating… under direct sunlight it appears to be suuuuuper dark cherry color…technically, in every other scenario its black.
After that fiasco I’ve found a new Golden Brown for 50% off and couldn’t help myself. Aging process was much more visible and started THE NEXT DAY 🤣. Precisely after 3 months all corners were brown’ish and color faded dramatically (baby 💩).
Decided to patina the case (again), but this time slowly - using only alcohol wipes. In retrospect best decision, now it looks and feels much better.
Wonder how would dark cherry look after using this method 🤔.

There are 500+ pages now. Could someone share some Ink patina pictures? Thinking about getting it, but Midnight was terrible last year.
There are plenty in the thread. Use the search, type ‘ink’ and select ‘this thread only’

Wow! That golden brown looks amazing. I am not shy about stripping down a coating. May need to look into this.

I found someone on here who stripped the dark cherry and it looked really good, too, so maybe that would work, but not about to spend full price to do it. lol

Just got a Ryan London case, which is excellent. Question for the group is if there is a way to determine if the camera bump on the case indeed protects the camera lenses on my 14 Pro Max—it seems very close!

That’s just like my bullstrap cases. The camera bump basically sits flush. But due to the decent lip I just set my phone face down.

Yea there is not much room for error there so I wouldn’t lay it down on any uneven surfaces like if your outdoors etc. I primarily use the Bullstrap case they are just about the same. I wish they would have given the camera bump a little more depth.

I might be in the minority here but I wish there is a leather case that doesn't patina over time, I like the clean look and feel of leather cases but not the patina which makes it look dirty.....just my opinion.
