Finally managed to grab a genuine Orange leather case at a snippet of RRP. Didn’t want to part with £60 for a case that wears so prematurely. This, £10 from a seller on eBay with only a tiny corner scuff. Other than that, like new!

For all those wondering if dark colored cases are black underneath… I now can confirm with 100% certainty that they are not. I’ve ripped apart my broken Dark Cherry case and this is the result. Funny how inner part of the leather has more color than the outside.

The biggest let down is they paint their cases. I love how thin they are and how they feel in hand. What a shame 👎🏼

Just got my Aspen case in two days ago! At first I was like wow this super slippery and was getting really discouraged to use it. I’m getting used to it and hoping in the next few weeks my hand oils will start working into it and making it less slippery like ya’ll have stated.

I have the dark cherry apple leather case and just never could keep it on long enough. It just doesn’t feel like a true leather case anymore after Apple decided to alter the materials.

I love this merlot color! Andar is an awesome company, I have a couple of other wallets and bags from them. Can’t wait to see how this leather ages over time.

I need to give my merlot another shot. Mine is super dry. I’m going to condition it and give it another go cause it’s a beautiful color. Dark cherry was my absolute favorite apple leather case, even though the leather quality was dog ****.

Mine was the same way, the dryness is ever so slowly dissipating. Gosh that apple leather case is awful. Shame because the dark cherry is an awesome color

First time bullstrap user. Cloud case is down to $30 on Bullstrap site and Amazon. First impressions are wow, the smell of leather, the quality compared to Apple seems superior. It feels extremely sturdy, great fit around the phone. My only drawback is the open bottom, but we dealt with that for years from Apple. We’ll see how it goes.

Agreed, with tax you’re into the $90+ range, that’s nuts for a case.

Do the Ali cases that closely resemble RL and some others, get grippier over time? I dont use it enough so its still kinda slippery but my OEM Midnight leather for 14PM has gotten grippier with use

I don’t know. From what I’ve seen it’ll get darker, but can’t be any worse then what the Apple cases have looked like for the past few years. And for $30, it’s worth a shot.

Honestly it feels great. It’s only day 2 but I like it. I’ve tried a few different Apple leather cases this year, but each time I couldn’t stand the buttons, so I returned them. I went for the Nomad Modern leather case, first in English tan, which I really liked a lot but I ended up selling it and bought a Nomad Horween leather case. I like that one a lot. I’m keeping it in case I ever need it, but figured I’d try the Bullstrap especially after all the positive reviews it’s gotten in the past.

Are the buttons about as clicky as oem?

I do find the Ali leather case buttons to be fine but a bit too recessed and mushy for my liking .. though serviceable and I’ve seen worse
