Can some nomad users post some pictures of the front of the case or chime in. I wonder if the side bands of the phone are still visible with the case on.

I have a 14 pro now and am considering a nomad but hated how I could see the gold with the case on.

It was time to add the Forrest Green to the mix.

I have a deep purple 14 Pro and cannot see any of the color from the front

I agree. The Apple logo is basically gone and you can still see what’s left of the orange coating around the camera frame.
No sanding. I just used a little bit alcohol to slightly wipe down the coating when the case was new. Now after 15 weeks it has as nice patina and the leather is smooth in hand. For me the fit of the apple leather case is the best on the market. I would do it again.

The apple logo is still there. Here is another photo with different angle:

So it’s not patina.

The coating has been removed with alcohol to give it that colour 😄
I see that a little differently. i removed a little coating 15 weeks ago. right after that the leather was still light brown. it has only gotten darker and darker over time without further treatment just from daily use. for me it is patina and I am very happy with it.

Which leather case is the grippiest / stickiest in the hands? Between bullstrap, official apple, and others

I agree with the fit and profile of the apple leather case is hands down the best! I might do the alcohol trick with my umber case. Did you use alcohol wipes?

Everything in various stages of patina, from the mac sleeve, to the iPad sleeve, to the wallet, AirPods and phone. Out of owning the nomad, apple and bullstrap cases, the bullstrap is hands down the best. Their warranty is great as well. This is case number two for the year. Roughly all and all 4 months of wear.

Nearly 2 Years Old iPhone 13 Pro Leather Case (Wisteria).

Bit of a love/hate relationship with this one. Wisteria compliments the Sierra Blue colour of the iPhone perfectly. The case itself has held up exceptionally well, and it still feels great in the hand.

Not a fan of the patina that has developed compared to my previous iPhone 7, X and 11 Pro cases though. This one just looks dirty and discoloured around the edges and where my index finger sits above the Apple logo.
My Wisteria MagSafe Wallet looks similar. I love the Wisteria color, but I wish they had used a leather dye instead of leather paint for better aging.

Wow ... that is REALLY nice. Is that an iPad mini 6? May I also ask where you got the laptop pad?

Forced patina on a case I purchased off of eBay with a description of “natural patina”. I paid $10 for it next to my normally used golden brown case purchased and used since 05/06/23 and yes, I dropped it a few times.

I think the dark apple cases are pretty grippy. My forest green one is much grippier than my umber for some reason

I think it varies depending on the environment and user. For example, when its cold out and my hands are dry my Bullstrap is smooth and slippery. When its hot out and my hands are more sweaty the Bullstrap is grippy. Leather is skin after all so its going to behave different in different conditions just as we do. Well at least that's my opinion.
