That'll be there because of the way you hold the phone. It's unique to you.Is it? No one I've talked to has that black splotch in the middle.
I agree that patina is def not the word to describe how the Apple cases wear haha. It’s uniquely ****** to be honest. I love the in hand feel of apple leather cases, but this is unacceptable. I laugh when people try and say that apple leather cases patina 😂😂😂
Looks good but I tried to see it on Amazon and it’s not available here.. gorgeous tho!Just received my new leather Cotswolds Wears case, and it is perfect!
Has a rustic already patina’d finish, grippy but nice feeling in hand (not sticky).
Highly, highly recommend this case! And the best part is it’s only £30 from Amazon or direct from the supplier.

I’m more impressed your mini still works after that long. My mini battery was under 80% health by 6 months! Finally retiring my iPhone 12 Mini Apple case after 917 days. I stuck with it even after expressing my dislike after one year of ownership in a post. Glad I kept with it because after the paint coating wore off (naturally) and revealed the actual leather I think it developed a beautiful patina. For those curious I replaced it with a rustic brown Nomad folio because it was only 5 bucks lol.
One week in. No change to note except the out the box feeling has gone. This case feels a lot softer than my previous few 14 pro apple leathers. As you can see, the itch of a new case got me.
Starting a new journey today to last until the 15 Pro comes out.
Day 1, Forest green. Love it.

Honestly very impressive “patina”. It looks good!!10 weeks old 13 Pro Apple leather case in golden brown.
I like the feeling in hand and the color changed pretty evenly to a darker brown.
Waaait a second.. I knew it looked familiar…I just bought a Baltic Blue for my iPhone 12 pro.
I’ve seen some good patina and some really bad, has the leather improved or stayed the same? is there anyone with recent knowledge on the Baltic Blue and how its going to patina? Thank you

The link looks even closer 😂Waaait a second.. I knew it looked familiar…
Mine midnight for 13 pro max looks weirdly the same 😂🤣
The color of the Baltic Blue is lighter in person tho, I do hope as it ages the blue becomes darker. Saw some posts of it where it really looked like midnight blue with nice patina. The other one was just light but with those black sides.Waaait a second.. I knew it looked familiar…

Can’t imagine it got ugly overnight. Why did you wait so long?13 Pro leather after 11 months. It’s quite ugly and I think I’ll have to replace it.

Not sure why you’re constrained to paying the same price for a replacement as you did initially. There’s a lot of really great cases on display here that would cost next to nothing compared to Apple’s prices.Wait so long for what? It to get ugly (how could I have prevented it?) or to replace it (not keen to drop another $60 for a case)?

I’m not judging. I only ask because I’m not sure I could have dealt with it for as long as you have. I like my things to look used but abused, not so much.
If you don’t like the open bottom style cases, go for Andar. It’s a tiny bit bulkier than apple leather. It’s slippery to start but will gain grip real soon. And plus you won’t have to worry about it looking like trash.Give me some suggestions, please? My experience with non-apple cases is that they are either too bulky, or, if slim, don't offer the same protection as Apple leather. My phone has taken some really nasty falls in this case and came out unscathed. Wasn't the same when I used Spigen and other cheap cases.
I’ve heard great things about the Ringke Onyx over the years. I really can’t offer personal recommendations because I’ve always preferred leather but I’m sure some others will chime in.Give me some suggestions, please? Seconding this. I’ve had an Andar for a little over a month now and love it. It feels great, handles well, and I dropped my phone pretty badly one night and both the phone and the case were fine. OTOH, my Apple leather case started look scratched and dingy in two weeks. If you don’t like the open bottom style cases, go for Andar. It’s a tiny bit bulkier than apple leather. No dings in the metal camera surround? That’s Andar’s only weakness.Seconding this. I’ve had an Andar for a little over a month now and love it.
