Leather Cases - Patina Proud Photos

I dislike the feel of Apple’s leather cases after sanding or alcohol treatment. The case feels like cardboard and almost suede like so I’ve decided to leave my golden brown case alone and just use it.

Believe me mine feels smoother in hand than the midnight one I also use.

Same here, in my case the shipping costs almost as much as the case; idk if it’s worth it at that point

I just bought a Baltic Blue for my iPhone 12 pro.
I’ve seen some good patina and some really bad, has the leather improved or stayed the same? is there anyone with recent knowledge on the Baltic Blue and how its going to patina? Thank you

Looks good but seems a bit quick for the edges to turn that dark

This. The feel is disgusting in the hands and even worse if your hands are semi-dry. It's this suede 'chalky' feeling and I always regret cleaning an Apple leather case.

It feels 1000% better with the hand oils soaked into it with a normal slow progressing patina. It's always tempting to clean it or condition it but it will always make it feel worse.

Boy, when these edges blacken, do they blacken quick.

Hopefully they use a better quality paint for the 15 Pro haha

Personally, I don’t mind the darkened edges; looks alright to me. Even with the Forest Green and Baltic Blue cases posted above, I find it quite aesthetically pleasing.

Nah, I don't mind them either; I'd just like them to last a little longer.

It's something I know about the Apple cases and how they wear; I love the form factor of them. Unrivalled IMO.

I have been incredibly impressed with the YMW brown leather case from aliexpress. The quality is better then expected for the price, buttons feel good and the patina is coming in nice. I dont think it can be beat for the price to be honest.

The darkened edges aren’t bad for the dark apple cases. I actually don’t mind this.

Yep; that’s why I think it looks good on the dark blue and green shades as well. It almost gives the case a personality, yet it’s not too distracting. With the pale and vibrant colours (like the orange one), I wouldn’t be so sure.
