So what are we thinking the sides are made of? It can’t be silicone because that isn’t “environmentally friendly” either. So Apple says. Rumor is all silicon is being phased out next year. So really curious what those sides of made of and how they feel. I don’t understand why there are not hands videos of the case.

The fine woven sides?

If you zoom in enough, you can see they're textured/woven too so not too sure what they'll be or why they're a different colour. I'm just hoping they're not too thick! If they're rubbery silicone, I'm not keeping them!

Oh ok, I tried to zoom in and couldn’t tell. Well if they are the same material, I don’t think that should be too bad. If rubbery, like you I am out. That is if I decided to get the 15PM. Don’t really want to give up the Deep Purple, but do like the camera upgrade.

Highly unlikely. It’s just fabric at the end of the day. Feel like it would get dirty quite quickly. I guess you can try and clean it with a damp cloth and mild soap?

At least it won’t get sticky, smudges, paint wearing off lol

I had a grey fabric case on my XR a few years back. It lasted 1 week before it looked gross. It was the first and last time I ever tried a fabric case. Apples attempt to save the enviroment will end with a landfill full of gross fabric cases. How carbon neutral is that?

It’s ridiculous if you ask me! The entire carbon neutral nonsense. What percentage of consumers truly care about that stuff?

Leather says:
Made from specially tanned and finished leather, the outside feels soft to the touch and develops a natural patina over time.

So, no patina for finewoven, and yes finewoven will look bad

How do you like taupe and how do you like the material in general? I’m planning to upgrade from my 14P in SB to a 15PM in natural titanium and want to stick to 1 case (I said the same thing last year and amassed a collection of 10+ cases, which I regret somewhat lol). This year I’m planning to run the phone caseless majority of the time and was looking at taupe as my just-in-case case.

A first look at the new FineWoven case by Apple for iPhone 15 Pro! Mines blue, it feels super interesting, the rear almost feels like suede or alcantara, the sides feel like textured plastic, and the buttons have been redone entirely to the point where they are loose fitting in

Pre ordered the titanium blue this year and saddle brown ryan london. Tired of a black phone this year so it’s refreshing to go to a blue phone again, my 12pm was a beautiful blue. And it was paired with my sienna case and that combo was a nice match to me.

I’m going to try to stick to 3 cases max this year…. Said that last year and ended up with 2 sienna, 1 black, 2 ocean blue, 2 maverick, 2 ryan london and 1 andar. I kept restarting the patina since I work outside and sweat etc. And I loved the process of it. I had a problem. So this year, Im up to 1 case so far. Next will be BS ocean blue and then I’ll see where I go from there. Maybe another sienna and that’s it.

"may show wear over time" = it will look bad over time. lol
