Leather Cases - Patina Proud Photos

Those Bullstrap pictures just reinforce my opinion that they are the $20 Ali Express leather cases, stamped up as theirs.

They must be making a killing. No wonder their warranty is so good.

$85 is an absolute rip off

I don't think real leather cases are going to be mass produced and shipped from China. I wonder if the expensive ones like Vaja are made in a factory in China. Most people can't tell the difference between polyurethane leather and genuine leather.

If you can find the $20 ones they’re stamping with their logo do share them here! They are made in China but the quality is great and I’ve had multiple cases of theirs and they are genuine leather. I agree $85 is steep but once you avoid the early weeks after the new iPhone releases they have sales all the time knocking the price down.

I’d also like to know, because I can’t find any in Dune color for eg. on AliExpress. I know there were some discussions with the ones from YMW but they are completer other colors and textures

From their site. Their first shipment went out earlier than expected. The next batch is scheduled for Oct 31st apparently, although I won’t be surprised if it shipped earlier than that.

Anyone hear from ryan london about their pre-order?

I loved mine this year and used it more than my BS cases so I wanted to get it again but I might cave again and buy a couple BS cases.

Aren’t the Ryan London and Bullstrap the same case just with different logos?

I ended up going with bullstrap simply because they were available sooner but would have preferred Ryan London simply for the cost difference

In all honesty all the major cases look the same lol. BS and RL have different color leathers.

Bs after a couple of months, bottom RL after 2 months and RL on the right after 7 months

How do the buttons feel? I’m concerned they won’t feel to good since they aren’t as deep anymore because of the case.

Everything else looks good except the price, lol


And update, just ordered the Ryan London since it’s has buttons and the action button as well used code father15 and ended up getting it shipped for $50 which is the price of an apple case from the store. Super excited I’ll use my clear and knock off silicon clay until I get my leather one which will be just in time for fall

Those are some interesting differences in wear patterns. I’m confused between bs and rl. They look like the same exact design specs. Rl looks like a small handmade shop and BS imports from China. Are all the coming from the same factory?

Buttons are perfect
 
Here two Ryan London cases (14 pro) with a 15 pro natural titanium. One new unused and the other used for over a small year. Very nice to see the patina on the case develop. Unfortunately doesn’t fit properly. Wanted to buy a Ryan London case again but they don’t ship to the Netherlands at the moment (pre-order atm). So not sure if I buy RL this year.

For now settled with a Cipres (green) Apple silicone case which is also nice. Also leather cases from Wiiuka and Alto.

Does Andar has warehouse/retailer in Europe for shipping within Europe? I don't wanna have to pay for customs charges...
 
Two weeks (day 0 vs day 14) of Ryan London on 14 pro. worth every penny considering how poor the Apple leather cases were. It's good that Apple doesn't make leather cases anymore because they suck and people will start looking into alternatives which helps small businesses like RL

Does RL have bottom cutout? From your pic it doesn't look like but on their website it shows.

The Decoded is a great case, the light colour will probably pick up a lot of marks and scuffs but I hope it'll still look good after a few months use. Worst case I get another one in a darker colour. The buttons feels great, clicky like the ones on the Apple leather cases, and it actually has an action button. It has a great smell of leather too, which I didn't get from the Decoded leather case I had for my iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The Apple Finewoven case feels cheap and I don't like it except for the fit which is good as always with Apple cases.

Love the colour on the Aspen and it feels great in the hand, the buttons are also clicky. As I´ve written in previous posts on here the Andar is a let down because of the cut out instead of action button and with the expensive shipping costs to and from Norway I won't be returning it. I don't think I´ll buy a new one either if they fix it, even with half off the new case as I feel a bit cheated in getting an unfinished product. If only they didn't pull a fast one and rush it without a proper action button it would be my daily case for sure.

How's the Decoded one compared to the old Apple leather cases? I'm waiting for my Decoded in clay to be shipped and I'm worried about the thickness and leather feel...from these photos it seems even thicker than the Andar one.

I had RL for my 14 Pro and despite the fact it had good leather feel, it was too thick for my taste and I'd prefer the Apple's thinner leather case. Also, how's the leather feel? Is it smooth/soft or rough/hard? thanks!
