Wiiuka skiin more case has arrived. Very smooth soft velvet leather. Does leave finger stripes as seen on one of the photos. Color wise it’s sierra/brown. Smells like leather but not the regular shoes leather smell. A bit different. Not sure how it will keep, could be a bit sensitive to stains and fingernail imprint. Comes with an action button 👍🏽 and metal black buttons. Bottom side is open. No problem for me. It’s is slightly larger than the silicon cypress silicon apple case. Can I still enjoy the natural titanium.
Any pics of the natural ti in the cypress case pls?

This group seems the perfect place to get some help! I have the new 15 Pro in Blue Titanium. I am looking for a new leather case. I live in the US. I am hopping to find a case that is well made, thin, will protect from typical drops, will develop great patina, and is made in the EU. As a second option, if it is not made in the EU, then the US or Canada. I want metal buttons. Either a closed or open bottom is fine.

What I am seeing is a lot of companies focusing on where they design the case and source their leather. However, I am not finding much about where production takes place. I do realize that the greatest majority are produced in China. I have also found some produced in Thailand and India.

I look forward to hearing your suggestions!

Got the Nomad Modern Leather case. So much better than last years. Buttons extremely responsive. Only negative thing is that it smells of plastic. Hoping this will go in a day or two?
Can you show it? How is the thickness? I’m waiting for my Decoded one but I also like how this one look

Been posting a lot in here and reading quite a bit but I’ve yet to see what I’m looking for. A leather case that will patina and isn’t coated in some plastic or that I’ll have to rub off with alcohol… and has enclosed buttons and a enclosed bottom.

Andar doesn’t have the action button covered, Bullstrap has a open bottom and the majority of others I’ve seen are the same leather we’ve gotten from apple for a few years and doesn’t patina.

Can anyone recommend something that fits those basic needs? Enclosed around the edges and patinas naturally.

Bullstrap has the best leather. Open bottom makes swiping up more comfortable. I have dropped mine plenty with no issues except some scuffs and scars on the leather, but thats why i get leather.

I have this one pre-ordered. I’ll send pictures when I get it. I absolutely love Satchel & Page and use their leather backpack every day.

Big fan of their’s also. Can you post pictures of how your backpack looks now? Happy with the patina?

Took a hiatus from leather cases for a bit but now feeling the urge again. iPhone 15 backglass seems way more sensitive than previous models, so I feel I do not dare to go naked like I've done for the past 4 years.

I had an old school apple leather case and was very satisfied with it and the patina it developed. None of that forced patina crap, but actual real patina from my own hand. BUT now with them gone, and being European, my choices are a bit more limited it seems.

So basically it seems my options, within a reasonable budget, are Ryan London, Mujjo and Decoded. For me non branded wins and Ryan London also has the most visually pleasing one. But how is the fit around the camera housing? I am allergic to gaps around the camera bump. An open bottom is fine in my opinion and back then Apple had open bottoms too.

Decoded looks nice, but not sure how i feel about the metal ring around the camera instead of all leather. The brand dbramante1928 has a decent looking one too I suppose, but don't like the branding and the lack of physical action button.

Had to take phone out to take pic. Does add some thickness but no more than other cases. Nice little ridge on side for grip.

The cost difference is not as big as it seems, especially if you are planning to keep your phone more than a year. I have owned many BS and RL cases and in my experience they are very close but not the same. The BS leather feels better over time for whatever reason and how can you not like the warranty which if you really wanted to can use to your advantage in selling one of your 2 yearly cosmetic replacements to offset the cost. The fact is no one pays the full retail as there is always a promo code anyway or when you setup an account you can spend a few minutes doing the one off items and accumulate enough rewards for $10 to $20 off. That being said, RL are great cases for the price point. I just found way more manufacturing issues on them and being in the US, I wasn't even going down that road of returning them. I am also curious to see how BS full coverage leather cases look when they release later this year.
I had no idea you could quickly get points for a $20 off the case. I was about to order my wife a case for her iPhone since she loved mine so much. Thanks for the heads up!

Technically still waiting on 50 points for leaving a review but almost there.

Ordered the bullstrap this morning using a 20% off coupon I found on reddit. As much as I love the Pitaka case I just really miss having leather. First bullstrap case, hopefully the exposed bottom doesn't bite me. But that's why I have apple care I guess.

Apologize if this has been addressed already, are there any open bottom leather cases currently shipping to the US currently?

Has anyone compared the Bullstrap to the Vaja cases? If so, which is slimmer? The Vaja V-Mag cases sound interesting, but are heavier than their standard case, as guessing stronger MagSafe magnets.

Fair point, though for me in Sweden the cost gets quite big. $100 for the case + shipping, then I will have to pay 25% VAT as well as customs tax on that. So I'd guess in the end I'd be paying $150+ for Bullstrap. With one of the active 15% discount codes out there that's as much as 3 RL cases for Europeans.

Unfortunately Bullstrap won't be shipping out until at least October 31. I placed an order yesterday thinking that they were going out early because of this countdown banner. I need a leather case way before end of October.

Yes, thank you. I mean that are already available and shipping.
That excludes all the top options then. Either you buy one with closed bottom or wait.

To be expected though, I doubt premium case manufacturers wanted to take a chance on dimensions that were not officially announced/confirmed yet, so production pretty much started in the days after iPhone 15 announcement.

Noone seems to talk about veg tanned vs chrome tanned. Ryan London is veg tanned and Bullstrap is chrome tanned. Veg tanned will develop a richer patina and a faster patina. Chrome tanned is softer, which can be both a pro and a con for a phone case.

So what are people thinking is the closest to Apple’s leather cases? I ordered one from Mujjo, but I accidentally ordered the the 15 pro instead of 15 pro max, and they’re out of stock in black now lol.

Not Mujjo anyway, that one is almost grainy. They claim it is full grain, but my first thought was that this is corrected grain (trash leather) that they embossed to make it look like it is full grain with open pores. Something about how their leather look completely rubs me the wrong way.
