I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys thing of the Keyway. I'm on day three and I can just start to see the color changing slightly in a few spots where it rests on my hand in use. I went back through a bunch of pages on the old X series leather cases from Apple and I'm seeing some definite similarities to how those started their patina journey. I stand by my original statement that this leather reminds me of the old Apple cases from the glory days. I am convinced this thing is going to age beautifully. Hoping you both have similar experience.
I miss when this thread was actual posts about Patina and recommendations. Now it’s mostly just bickering and complaining. The mods flushed a bunch of posts and then it just went right back to the same handful of people arguing with anyone who posts a photo.
Blame Apple and them discontinuing their leather cases lol

After having been utterly disappointed by the saddle-brown leather case for my previous iPhone 12 Pro (I used sand paper to eventually get some patina, but the case aged really poorly!), I now chose the Andar one for my new iPhone 15. Feels amazing. Smell of leather. 100% recommendation. Will report on the patina progress!
I read somewhere Bullstrap was going to. How true that is I have no clue.
Looks like Bare Cases is dipping into the leather game soon. Hopefully they keep the minimalist/thin asthetic.

Looks promising. Covers the bottom too. Look forward to seeing it. Likely won’t order one as I love my Keyway but more options are good for all the unique tastes here. It’s all about the patina right?!
Mines been dispatched. It defo will patina. It looks very similar to the ander.
Happy to report that the Wilken case is a great fit and feels just like my old BS cases. $44 on amazon. Buttons are clicky as well.
It’ll hold me off till i get my ryan london, but I’m not so sure i’ll get a BS this year, and if I do it’ll be the ocean blue. But all these options are the same thing as the BS cases minus the color options. Also gonna peruse the YMW store once it’s updated for 15PM.

I remember about a hundred or so pages back people found YMW and were joking that we found BS’ supplier. All these clamshell leather cases look identical minus the coloring.
Like this wilken, looks and feels like my ryan london and BS cases i’ve had in the past. So it’s hard for me to justify $85( i know they run discounts often) but it feels odd how the cases just came out and they were running 20% off.
Yeah well it's all made by the same chinese factories. Only exception would be quality control, where some like BS or RL would perhaps demand a higher standard. The markup is huge and the more known the brand is, the bigger markup.
I bought my briefcase 8 years ago from a newly founded company for £395, now the exact same product is £575. Nothing except inflation and how well known they are has changed.

Just got the Lonli Edition case. Initial impressions are that it’s good for the price but a bit slippery, no texture at all!
Anyone here have this case in the past? Did it get grippy overtime like most leather cases?

Barring it’s not coated in some sort of “plastic spray” leather cases are almost always slippery at first. Over time the oils of your hands and natural wear from using the phone will cause the case to patina and become grippy. After a week you’ll notice the center of the phone (where your middle finger rests) will become very grippy and that’ll spread to cover most the phone. Leather cases get better with time but straight out the packaging they’re almost always slippery.
