Getting a little frustrated with Bullstrap. As I posted earlier the day it arrived, my Bullstrap Bourbon case arrived but it doesn't have the magsafe magnets in it like it's supposed to. I contacted Bullstrap two days ago, even sent them a video showing them the case having zero magnetic properties, and they created a ticket, and then it's been radio silence for two days. No questions, nothing. I chatted with the CS agent that I originally spoke to, who couldn't do anything except say "Our team is looking into this at the moment and is trying to determine the problem. They'll be in contact with you as soon as possible."

I don't know what there is to 'determine'. There are no magnets in the case. It falls off a magsafe charger, even without the phone in it. A neodymium bar magnet slides right off it. It shouldn't be difficult to say, "I'm really sorry, we've shipped out a replacement, expedited." and if they want the defective one back ..."and a pre-paid shipping label, for you to return the defective case so we can make sure this doesn't happen in the future."

For an $80 case, this is souring me on them...which is a shame because the case is beautiful.

Update: about 4 hours after this they emailed me telling me they were sending a new case. So good stuff!

I had poor customer with them a few months back too. I tried to request a replacement under the lifetime warranty for some damage. Case was about 6 months old at the time. They made it so difficult I gave up. Wanted a bunch of photos and letter explaining what had happed to the case. Everyone here has praised their warranty service but for me it was a joke.

Yours should be straight forward though. They sent you an incomplete product. That should be an easy swap for them.

I haven't tried their warranty yet but that’s funny given how they even say "no questions asked."

Wow. I dealt with them way back when I did grab a 12 Pro Max case from them in May 2021, but they didn't have MagSafe versions when I did purchase it.

A few months later they suddenly came out with the new MagSafe version. For the heck of it I contacted them just asking if I could exchange the non-magsafe with new MagSafe. The person I dealt with (name "Alexis P"..I still have the emails) had no problem whatsoever - to my surprise. I just had to pay to ship the old one back which was no big deal. Even exchange...didnt pay extra and it was a much more expensive case at the time compared to the old non-magsafe price I paid. My 1st order from them, great CS...at the time.

I don't know, I just see customer service tanking all over the place, in stores...websites, over the phone. It stinks!

For replacements it’s always been easy as can be for me. This was just recently too. I submit it and usually the same day it’s ready to complete the checkout. I will say though I have been trying to return an extra case and it’s like pulling teeth to get someone to respond. The return was put on hold whatever that means.

Same thing like what their boxes say about top grain vs full grain. What can you believe?
I hate opening this can of worms again lol, and I'm really satisfied with my Bullstrap case, but I think all the confusion stems from the ceo/founders legit not knowing the difference between top grain and full grain. This warranty video looks old, but they say the cases are made with top grain leather here:

Decoded came in. Dont like the branding on the camera and the high gloss paint look.

Lonli Edition- Awesome but VERY smooth
Lonli Classic- Awesome but rough/grainy.

Gonna keep the edition or classic and I have no idea which one to keep lol

Leather will be leather. Maybe you mean slippery? Then a few days for sure.
Yeah. Its extremely slipperly like soap. The decoded, Andar, Nomad were not even half as slippery. I dont mind it, just hoping it becomes less slippery haha

My Keyway Whiskey case was super slippery on day one. Now 3 days later and its become noticeably more grippy. Probably depends on if the Lonli case has any kind of coating on it. But give it time and it will get more grip.

Yea that's normal. Give it a few days as mentioned above. But a leather case will never be grippy though, so do not expect that. It will be less slippery, but never grippy.

This is exactly why I love leather cases so much. They have enough grip in hand, but they slip in and out of pockets with ease. Grip when you need it and slip when you don't. Its perfect! Silicone cases are a pain to slip in and out of pockets and they collect so much lint.

Same, I tried a silicone case for a day after I returned the FW and I couldn’t stand the feel of it. Even when Apple went to the lower quality leather I still always loved the feel of the case, I just bought it darker colors. I had the green midnight and plum for my 13pro.

As far as I can tell it’s waxed. That’s a pretty common treatment for leather items like this and it will eventually wear off. I have the edition case too and it started out very slick. It’s getting grippier by the day.
