My keyway whiskey after 4 weekends of using it but also I’ve leather dyed my nomad to closely resemble the iPhone 11 forest green, looks pretty bright but starting to show some darkness in lower light, nomads horween leather can take a beating, through throughly bleaching the colour out with ipa and taking colour back in with dye and conditioning, had to get some green in my leather case line up whilst waiting for my hopefully green olive keyway case

It’s not that bad irl. It even looks kinda cool to me but I can imagine it being an issue with MagSafe accessories.
I mean it’s not flush but it looks better than the bullstrap logo
Whiskey Keyway looking great after about a month of use. Definitely going to pick up that Olive case now too after seeing the photos.
I assume all the full leather cases are just a fully covered thin TPU case under the leather. Sure feels like it on my RL, BS, and Ali express apple.
But i like the feel of the leather on the sides better than the TPU.
My Mujjio had TPU sides. It Went to goodwill.
It doesn’t bother me at all and my MagSafe wallet works just fine.
Not so far and I’ve been using a wallet on it for 2 months daily.
You can tell based on how easy it is to take the phone in and out the case. I have the RL full case and I can’t see where there would be tpu. Same with my crazy leather from AliExpress. My decoded and AliExpress nappa leather I wouldn’t agree.
I would assume the aluminum is coated or anodized instead of painted. I own the whiskey color. Don’t use a MagSafe wallet, but I’m not seeing wear on any of my metal parts yet.
Ironically they actually show wear on the black camera frame in the product photos. But I guess they do market themselves as a rugged/outdoors brand.
That is ALOT of patina for 6 months and that camera ring looks like it was dragged behind a car on the interstate. Lol
Yeah, that "6 month patina" is a bit of a far stretch. More like 6 years..
Honestly I’m good with it. It’ll add to the patina over time I guess. They do market themselves as that, however; I don’t think I would take their leather cases in a snow storm lol, water drops soak in quick on mine. Which honestly makes me happy for the patina, shows I don’t have any coating to wear through before oils start soaking in the leather to darken it.
Got my slate Keyway in yesterday so here are some comparison shots in different lighting with the whisky. I wish it was more grey like the bullstrap. It’s greyish beige in some light and brown in other.
Also included my bare skin tortora in there as well. I’m still waiting on my replacement due to the sharp buttons but not sure when I’m going to receive it. I think the bare is going to be my go to as I like the minimal branding and matching buttons/camera ring better than the black on the Keyway. I think the black looks great on the black phone but I don’t like it as much on natural titanium. I also prefer the feel of the leather a little bit more on the bare case. It’s a little softer than the Keyway and just feels better in hand. It’s close but I give a slight edge to the bare. Its very slick out of the box but that’s expected with new leather cases. Once I get my replacement and use it for a couple weeks I can give a better review of the bare but so far I’m impressed. Just gotta get the buttons right.

Nice comparison shots. Keyway Slate in natural sunlight looks great! I see some nice "marbling" to it.
The Wally Junior in "Sandy Beach" would also match the Bare pretty well, if you're looking same color everything. Like a lot of companies, the colors in Distil's pictures is often waaay off.
I got a Sandy Beach wallet, and promptly returned because it more closely resembled a Band-Aid/flesh colored than the color in the website photo.
I like the grey with the tortora. I got a black apple wallet I use with the Keyway. I don’t like my case and wallet to match because I work from home so I don’t use the wallet that often and the patina would never match up.
