Personally, I have never had my aluminum ring 'patina' to the point where it looks horrific, but as always, ymmv.

Yeah I definitely regret going with the free shipping but for me going with UPS was going to be an additional $20.

Just ordered another RL. That saddle brown just called my name. If anyone is interested in the black I would consider selling it.
4 weeks for my 1st one, 3 weeks for the second. I would have never ordered if i knew they shipped from china.. waited for them to drop and then had to wait another month to receive a case with half assed buttons.
I've still got a full coverage saddle brown RL 15 Pro case if anyone wants it cheaper than RRP.... (in the UK).

I don't reckon its normal and to be honest, Andar support is trash. Never recommending or purchasing one of their products again after my experience with them. Return it and get a Bare leather case IMO

Maybe it’s the lighting, but your slate looks lighter in color than others I’ve seen. I’d prefer this light color, knowing it’ll darken over time. Looks great on your white Ti

Thank you! Yeah it was mid-afternoon non-direct winter sun so I imagine that contributes. It's definitely not as dark as some photos of it that I've seen (which looked almost black). I'm liking it so far; the leather feels and smells good, and the open bottom is perfect for all the swipe up gestures (coming from from 4 years with an Apple 11 Pro Max leather case so not used to/a big fan of closed bottom cases).
Wow! That slate is without a doubt the best looking leather case I’ve ever seen. I haven’t liked an open bottom case since the 12 series went flat but I’m really tempted to order one.
Edit: I did it, I ordered one. I need to get off this thread. It’s expensive.

Here is the Keyway in Slate and Bare in Black. I like the feel of the Bare more but the cutouts and buttons on the Keyway are much cleaner. The X on the Keyway interfered with my MagSafe car mount so the Bare is the winner here for me. The last picture is a bonus picture. It’s the Bare compared to the…FineWoven case 😱. Still getting used to the feel of it but the thinness and quality have me running it daily for now.
