How is the magsafe? Grippy or not out of box?
$90AUD for me on amazon with shipping??

leather is grippy right out of the box. a little dry, better to apply conditioner straight away.

magsafe will let you know on Thursday, I don't use this technology yet but I ordered a Qi2 wireless charger. I'll do some tests.

price is OK and the same for shipping to Italy.

watch out for one thing, you gotta love the wrinkles on the corners, the finish here is not as smooth as the one found on the RL or LC.

Well said those were the days still to this day even with great options like Bullstrap and RL the leather does not come close the old saddle brown in my opinion
Agreed.
Even though “technically” BS and RL have higher quality leathers than the Apple ones, the thinness and smoothness of the 7-11 era Apple cases are just unmatched.
Still don’t know how they did it, and why they threw it all away starting with the 12:confused:

It's amazing how thin Apple Leather cases were. I frequently switched between a Black Apple Leather and Bullstrap case and usually rocked the Apple Leather case purely because of how thin it was.

In terms of 15 Pro leather cases, LuckyCoin is the thinnest I've used. But it still isn't as thin as Apple's. I still haven't tried Bare, though.

I’m confused by all the Lucky Coin brand talk here recently. Feels like it’s been heavily (and potentially misleadingly) promoted in this thread and elsewhere as alternatives to Bullstrap or Ryan London. But I’m not seeing anything to support it being actual full-grain or top-grain leather. The product page on Amazon says “100% genuine leather” with a heavy oil/wax coating. I can’t imagine that would ever develop patina.

Mines already gaining some patina after only 3 days.

Mines are getting a nice patina as well.

As for the leather part, you have to understand they’re from China, for them “genuine leather” simply means real leather and not PU leather (cause there’s a lot of shop in china using PU leather and trick you into thinking it’s real leather) and not the true definition of genuine leather, top or full grain leather.

I’m not a leather expert so I’m not sure the exact type of leather LC is using, but I can feel that it is a nice enough piece of leather for it’s price, and as many members in this thread mentioned, RL and BS still has better leather quality, LC case is a good choice in terms of quality to price ratio.

P.S. Apple’s leather cases in 6-11 are marked as “genuine leather” as well, but those cases are highly prised by members in the thread as well (and me) so…

Bullstraps leather is also sourced from china. And not too long ago bullstrap got caught up cause their site said full grain and the packaging said top grain. They don’t even know what it is. It’s obvious these companies use the same leather shell and the companies brand it and mark it up insanely high. I bet you anything that when the bullstrap full coverage case comes out it’ll be exactly the same as the Lc cases 😂

They do develop patina, and you can tell by the feel and the look of the LC leather cases that they are either top grain or full grain leather (more likely full grain given the quality). All the major leather case manufacturers (Bullstrap, Andar etc...) pump oils and treatments into the leather and finish them with wax.

The feedback and first hand experience from people who have bought these cases is not misleading nor is it promoted, we aren't getting anything from it?! We all bought these cases ourselves.

There was a similar post over on Reddit with someone saying they're just "genuine leather" but as mentioned, likely something lost in translation and by quoting genuine leather it just means they're using real animal skin rather than PU.

Got the Wiiuka for my 15 Pro. Very nice case. I think it's the Wiiuka More, as my case matches that color on their website exactly (I ordered off Amazon.de so the case came from a different company).

Visually, I did not like it out of the box, but it quickly grew on me. The smell is nice and the feel in the hand is excellent. Overall I prefer RL which I got for my 13 Pro, but this time I went with Wiiuka because the case I want from RL is on pre-order and they ship that in late April.

I think this is an excellent leather case, I am happy with it. Will be interesting to see how this soft leather holds up, but the feel in the hand is great, much better than RL. In terms of pure aesthetics, I do prefer RL a bit, but not enough to discard this case.

The photos are of the case that has been used for three days. The "scratch" on the close-up of the W logo isn't a scracth, I wiped it away with my fingers after posting this.

Looks really nice and you can tell from the finish that is going to patina really nicely once it starts absorbing oils etc!
