i went through at least the last 40 pages of this thread and not one person had natural colour leather case. I love how natural patinas over time so I was looking for days for one. They are hard to come by but I found this case on Etsy and they have buttero leather in natural! It’s going to be over a month before it gets here though. If anyone is interested it is a open bottom case.

True, but the description says he uses buttero leather which is real full grain veg tan leather.

The closed bottom Bullstrap looks gorgeous. I just can’t get over the price.

I just wish I could see on in real life before a purchase of this price. I really like the feel of my open Bullstrap, where it seems the side buttons are not so prominent. On my other leather cases the buttons are too prominent and with sharp edges. The photos of the closed bottom Bullstrap makes it look like they are sticking out further than the open bottom Bullstrap.

Closed bottom cases from RL and Andar has similar buttons as well. I agree with you that the open bottom buttons are much subtle and doesn’t cut into your fingers.

Doesn't seem like its that big of a deal to me, unless I am not visualizing it correctly. If you look hard enough at any case you will find flaws. I don't typically go looking for small manufacturing tolerances unless its blatantly obvious or impacts function.

Oh absolutely it’s not a big deal. However these aren’t flaws, they are designed this way (with the gap) and to me a leather case with a gap near the charging port (Keyway, Ryan London CB, Mujjo, Decoded) is just bad design IMO. So I'm hoping it isn’t on the Bullstrap CB.

That would drive me crazy. The phone snaps into the LC case. The LC case wraps around the front of the phone with no gap and no chance of the phone falling out. Perfect fit. I imagine the BS closed bottom will be the same since they appear to share the same frame. I am interested in how different the leather is on the BS case vs the LC given the price difference.

Here are some comparison shots, it’s a much higher quality than the LC version, and is a tighter fit on the phone (in a good way), however I’m sticking with my open bottom cases so if anyone in the UK wants to save on shipping I’ve listed it on eBay ready for immediate dispatch.

The leather on the BS looks immaculate! Although looks like the power button on the BS is also crooked for a tiny bit.

I do have to ask though, do you think the BS CB is worth $50 more than LC?
And how's the leather comparing from BS CB vs BS OB vs LC?

The buttons can be aligned better, that was literally straight out of the box.
The leather is identical to the open bottom case, so it’s definitely not a rebadged LC case. It feels a lot higher quality than the LC, and given the Bullstrap warranty I think if you can buy with a code it’s worth the money if you plan to keep your device more than a year.

Nope, they may share a shell but the leather, thickness and magnets are all different.

I was going to say that the BS case looks thicker. Is that true? There is no doubt from those pics that the leather is different.

Finally ordered a YMW Italian Nappa case in black, not expecting any patina with it being black just hoping it'll be better than the FW case I've begrudgingly been using since Apple ditched leather.
