Guys I may have a problem…

My LC case got a little fading on the sides (probably because I clean the case daily by wiping it with wet wipes), so I tried to apply some leather conditioner to try to darken the sides a little bit to fix it, but unfortunately the fading got more severe after the application. So I tried mink oil instead. Again made the fading contrasts even more.
The fading part is dryer and rougher than the rest of the case even after the numerous applications. Does anyone know how to save the case or I’m SOL? Thanks.

The fading can be a patina process but you shouldn't use wet/water wipes on genuine leather.

It's gone rough because the water/wet wipes have damaged the leather.

I’m using wet wipes made for cleaning leather but I probably use it too frequently (I blame my OCD).

Do you think the fading will get better if I keep using it?

Shipping these suckers quick

I’m hoping these closed bottom bullstraps don’t have the dreaded (to me 😋) gap near the charging port. That’s why I’m waiting before I buy lol.

What gap are you referring to?
On some closed bottom cases the bottom is not tight against the phone meaning you can see the charging cut out when looking at certain angles from the screen, and you can see daylight through the charging cut out when held against the light etc. For some it bothers them, for others not so much...

Doesn't seem like its that big of a deal to me, unless I am not visualizing it correctly. If you look hard enough at any case you will find flaws. I don't typically go looking for small manufacturing tolerances unless its blatantly obvious or impacts function.

Yeah, I imagine these use at least the same frame as the LC cases and they don’t suffer from the light through the charging port hole issue.

Has anyone tried the Nomad Leather Magnetic Back?

I really prefer not using a case, but I do like leather. I think this would be a good balance. I’ve seen ads about this and might be interested.

This was covered a while back on the thread.... maybe like a month ago? I think the general feeling was that it was okay but not great. I think if you want a leather back, and no case, you're better off with a Dbrand leather skin

They’re not great… edges feel like they’d wear down quickly exposing the plastic, very thin leather, the sticky pads make the case sit proud if the back of the phone meaning dust can and will get in and unless you get the black version the top left corner around the camera is just plastic and isn’t the nearest when it meets the leather.

Is Bullstrap sienna same colour as Andar The Mag Camel Tan? Does anyone have the real life pics?

Camel tan is less orange than Sienna initially more of a muted tan, however the patina on the bullstraps seem to be more uniform across the whole case over time.

it is crazy but they do have a great warranty/replacement program. just one cosmetic replacement later and you effectively paid $50
Exactly this. Plus it's a lifetime warranty so if you keep your phone for a while, thats x2 replacements every single year if you needed.

My brown Andar Aspen after exactly 72 days.

I just took it off to give the phone a quick clean and to check that everything was ok, there was barely any dust though, so it looks like that it wraps the phone pretty well.

I'm charging MagSafe from around a month and the ring is showing a little bit, I suppose it's inevitable.

I thought it was going to be worse though, it's barely visible, you need to move the case under the right light to spot it properly.

Overall an excellent case, no doubts about that.

Buttons are mega clicky and to be honest sharpness is not an issue for me, they probably got smoother over time.

Shame that the smell don't last forever because it was really amazing!
