The Bullstrap closed bottom case is already discounted to $35 and is marked as final sale lol. That was quick.

So many people got them when they launched there has to be some good patina pics by now. I liked the bare Tortora at first but after a few months it started looking like the apple 12-14 cases where just the edges were getting dark. So hard to find a great leather case these days.
I've been rotating cases so much my LuckyCoin has only seen about a week of total use. No real patina or I'd share a pic.

I guess they are giving up on the closed bottom cases, or we think just back to the drawing board?

I would say they’re giving up on this version and seeing how the one with TPU sides does. Maybe they’ll find a better manufacturer for the 16 series, but I’d say those new colors they promised for the closed-bottom 15 Pro cases aren’t coming.

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking the final sale meant. The closed bottom one would have been the one I would try if i got a 16 pro. It was the only one that I felt like I could possible like. I may get the 14 PM just to try it out.

I was happy to get one for $35 but kinda disappointed that I’ll never be able to get a slate closed bottom case. That’s what I was holding out for. Definitely not buying the bullstrap nomad.

I know people don't like to admit it, but due to the shape of the iPhone since the 12, pretty much all leather cases age pretty similar to the Apple leather cases. They may bit a bit poorer aging, but nothing ages as well as the rounded shape iPhone cases.

100% agree. The curved phones were also way more comfortable to hold in hand.

Here is my luckycoin case after maybe 5 months. The case comes with a small patch of matching leather in the box. Here is the case vs that piece. I did check when it was new and they were the same color.

Totally agree. Much easier on the hands, and comfortable. I always thought the leather cases were way better on that design too.
Without a case the 15s are more comfortable than the 12-14 but once you put a case on they feel the same. Agree the curved design was better. The 11pro was probably my favorite phone. It’s more difficult to get an even patina with the square sides but you can still have good patina with the right case.

Yes I miss the design of the 11 pros so much. Wish they would go back that direction. I think overall the leather cases looked better on those phone too.

Just to expound a bit more on this case. I couldn’t me more impressed. The cutouts and buttons are spot on. It is also super light. I think it is the lightest leather case for the 15 pro at 32 grams. It patinas very similar to my iPhone X leather case. It holds the phone in very secure. I have dropped it many times and the case has protected the phone perfectly. For $30 with free returns on Amazon I couldn’t be happier.

It's my favorite out of all the 15 Pro leather cases I've tried

How was you compare this to the closed bottom Bullstrap? Is it considerable lighter than that?
I wouldn't say considerably lighter. It feels lighter to me in the hand but I don't have a scale and could be totally wrong lol. If you browse my media history I should still have comparison pics between the lucky coin, closed-bottom bullstrap and regular bullstrap.

Thanks, I will check that out. Just curious if it would be worth the $35 to get the closed bottom for my 14PM. Not sure that I would use it that much as I am devoted to my Apple leather cases.

If you search this thread, I am pretty sure that the LC case is lighter than the bullstrap closed bottom case. Actually, I think it is the lightest leather case. I could be mistaken though. What I can say is that the LC case has better quality control than the Bullstrap closed bottom case.

Your patina pic convinced me to order one. They are on sale for $21 on amazon right now. I’m interested to compare it to the bullstrap
