All of that is normal. Leather is a natural product and all those imperfections are part of it.
And what about this kind of cracking if i press the left side? Seems like it’s not the leather cracking but the tpu inside the leather which makes strange noise like clicking

All my leather cases from Andar and RL have done this to some degree. It should break in and lessen with use.

I just got my Mujjo Maizcase yesterday. It is only available in Steel Blue and is "Eco-Leather". I like the fake leather and I love the color.
I know real leather will patina better but I am still undecided if I want to get a Bullstrap or a Bellroy Leather case.

My husband got his Ryan London today. I’m very impressed (and slightly jealous seeing as my Bullstrap won’t ship till next month). But here’s his dark brown. So beautiful!

This is gonna be a long three weeks staring at his while waiting for mine…

To be honest, I was a little disappointed with the finish on the RL after all the positive praise it had received online. Personally I think the finish on my Casebelle is better at half the price.

Their closed bottom aren’t the same as the open bottom for leather quality. While the closed bottom might be disappointing, the open bottom is hard to rival.

But there is a risk of a lot of scratches right? They told me in December they will have the camera button I think I will move to their open bottom in December

A lot of scratches? Scratches are a natural part of leather cases. The best feature of high-quality leather is its ability to self-heal. Most scratches fade away quickly. However, incidents like dropping the case can cause deeper damage that won't heal as easily. This is simply part of owning a leather case. You should be more cautious with cheaper leather, as it doesn't self-heal and will show scratches more prominently.

I’m debating cancelling my Bullstrap order for Ryan London. Ugh idk what to do! Anyone think that would be a mistake? My husbands dark brown really is nice.

Edit. I think I’ll wait for RL. at least till December since I got this email

If you don't mind having two cases, I recommend keeping the Bullstrap order and waiting to see what RL offers in December. If it's impressive, you can go for it and still have a spare. Even if RL releases a button for CC in December, we can't be sure of its quality. I wouldn't cancel based on a promise of something to come that we really don't know much about. If you keep the Bullstrap, you will still have the option of getting a warranty replacement when they release the button for their case. To me it's a win-win.

This actually is exactly what I’m gonna do. Solid advice. I’ve always used BS. RL tho is nice but I also worry about the metal ring chipping. Pros and cons to all. I’ll see how my husbands fares in the next few months. I know Bullstrap is solid.

Exactly, and we are still very unsure about what a first go at a CC will bring.

So tried a few cases:
  • Bullstrap case - generally good just sometimes weird flexing at times that can be annoying if its something that irks you when you hold the thing.
  • Mujjo case - No go, buttons are loose drives me crazy cause I can feel them/hear them rattling at times.
I have ordered a Casebelle one and an Atom one so we will see how it pans out.

I decided to test out TORRO from Amazon and as per my usual tactic I ordered two, as I know sometimes this is a hit or miss on the quality. And it really was. In one case leather was cracked and not nice on touch and the second case was pretty good with a really leathery smell. I am definitely keeping it and returning the bad one. Here are some pictures from both. The good one is on the phone

Button cut out is ok-ish, I can still control zoom etc but I'd rather have it completely covered as I am not even using the functionality

Rest of the buttons are fine

I had a feeling every brand was going to go back and add the camera capture button lol
I did too. I asked Ryan London about doing a warranty exchange they said no. I understand. I guess. But Bullstrap said they would which I think is fair. If the cases rolled out premature and not really ready for the phone they should at least offer a discount. Or a warranty exchange

Agreed. I'm pretty sure Bullstrap did the same thing when their cases originally had an action button cutout

They are 100% Andar cases. I’m sure of it
I agree. Sharp button edges and all! I bought an Andar and returned it because the buttons were so sharp. Then, I bought the Le Pelle - same issue. So, I filed the buttons at the edges with a very fine sandpaper. Now it is perfect.

Casebelle has two types of leather cases: one nappa (timeless luxe) and one full grain oil-wax (vintage luxe). Has anyone a first hand experience on how different they feel and look?

I’ve heard mixed reviews about this. But they’ll get the button covered. Will take some time though.
They did a great job given what they had to work with, but this button is already flush with the body, and it's a very small space. You really need to jam your finger in there to make it do anything. The "touch" sliding functions are pretty useless at this point, but with a cutout are almost impossible to use.
