Saddle brown and black. The leather is so superior. The saddle brown ha s a much more saturated color then the BS sienna and that RL Black is just stunning.

Get the black. The RL black is the standard black in leather cases. I’ve owned most major brands over the years and their black is just next level black. Super super dark and true black. Stunning in person. I’ve received compliments on my RL cases over the years.
For me it’s the open Bottom Experience, the buttons are superior, the leather is much much different, and I like the fI’ll leather around the camera. Just my preference. Oh and the fit, the open bottom cases have always fit better for me.
It’s incredible, right? When I received the closed-bottom saddle brown case, I was pleasantly surprised by its amazing color. My black open-bottom case is equally impressive. I’ve only had it for a week, but it’s already incredible. I’ll never go back to closed-bottom cases.
This reminds me of the good old days with Apple leather cases. RL feels remarkably similar to the leather Apple used back then. I’ll stop searching for a case now. This is undoubtedly the winner.
I was using the sienna BS open bottom since September, but it just isn’t the same.
My thoughts exactly. I’ve used the RL open bottom for years and have BS a go this year since they released theirs so quickly. When I slapped my RL on yesterday it just reminded me how superior their quality is. Not that BS is bad by any means but the difference is quite noticeable.
Thanks. I ended up going with the Dark Brown just because I love to be able to see the patina and I have a lot of other dark brown leather goods (wallet, boots, belts) etc….
Whenever they get around to shipping a camera control version maybe I’ll switch to the black then… but I also love the saddle brown too.
Yep exactly the same for me. Nothing against BS at all (other than being thicker), but RL open bottom cases just take the cake. Honestly it's only slightly thicker than the old open bottom Apple leather cases.
from what I remember you have both close and open bottom RL cases, right? Is the closed one thinner than the opened bottom one?
I do have both. The open bottom is thinner than the closed. Closed is slighting thicker front to back, but the width is about the same.
I like it! I've been a big fan of decoded lately once I heard about them and bought a think or two from them. I may need to pick up for my 15 Pro TB! Is that for 15 Pro or 16 Pro? Also, I don't mind the lettering.
RL for 16PM arrived today. The CC cut out is quite in-useable with this thick plastic/leather case. It would be perfect if the cut out was bigger and to the rim, as with the Nomad Traditional, which I ordered today. I butchered the RL case and made the cutout bigger, which is quite the improvement. Coming from the Silicon Case, the cutout makes the CC much more reactive and more useable, especially with the button setzte the lighter touch.
Apart from the subideal cutout the leather and tactility are just as goods last year, this is a real beauty, shame to have to massacre it in order to use the camera control button.

For me, the CC isn’t particularly important, but I can still use it with the RL. The most useful feature of the CC will be visual intelligence, which only requires holding the button down. So, it’s all good for me.
When the button cover version comes out you can use one of your warranty replacements for it as well.
My goodness. That black on black is going to look amazing. That was my combo last year. Darth Vader.

The packaging is nice, and they even wrote my name on the “Thank you” card.
The leather itself is nice and supple, and it’s better moisturised brand new when compared to Bullstrap and Luckycoin. The smell is good, but less strong than BS and LC. The colour is a bit more saturated and orange than I imagined, but I still like the colour nonetheless.
Overall I’m very happy with the case!
