This is horrible. Another reason to not give a single penny to this company.
I seen a q&a vid with the bullstrap ceo and just watching it I got this vibe like he’s trying to scam or sweet talk; similar to a car salesman trying to sell you a car.
In essence he takes your money, makes you wait 2-3 months just for a possibility of shipping, then has the nerve to not stand behind his company and swear every case is perfect to a tee and not accept any responsibility basically saying you’re lying if you see a flaw or a defect. Then has the audacity to say “enjoy your journey” smh.

The leather may be applied to the case by hand but the plastic shell is not handmade and is essentially the cause of the gap.
I stand by what I’ve always said about Bullstrap - standard cheap Chinese cases, stamped up with their logo sold on with an extortionate profit margin; margins so great they can offer the FOC cosmetic replacements and not feel a dent in their finances. CEO has a real bad vibe about him in his Q&A videos too.
There are much better cases on the market.
I honestly don't think it looks THAT bad and personally I wouldn't be that picky if I was only paying LC prices. But he likely paid 3-4x as much. To the original poster's point, I also question why BS designs such thick ass cases that still can't symmetrically cover the phone. That to me is THE reason I'd never entertain them as an option. I will reasonably pay whatever for the best leather iPhone case on offer and they aren't it.

This 1000%! Had open bottom for years and never an issue. The leather quality in the Ryan London open bottom is just unmatched.
Yeah the customer service is horrible. I could maybe live with how it looks but just knowing how much dirt will get trapped in that gap really bothers me. They now want me to submit a video and are going to issue a refund. I would rather get a properly fitting case but apparently that’s too much to ask for. I have the Siena contemporary that they originally launched and it fits great so not sure why they switched to this new style if it’s not going to fit properly.
We have seen in the past that BS is always looking for ways to cut cost and increase their profits even further. Remember a couple of years ago when the switched to having their cases made in India with lower quality leather. I bet they moved to a cheaper case frame company and these new cheaper frames aren't as strong. The huge camera cutout is making these cheap case frames stretch and bend resulting in gaps. Their profit margins are already huge but the CEO is looking to stretch those margins farther.
It’s pretty sad when you can’t get the case to fit on the phone correctly. That seems like the most basic simple part. Ive heard stories about BS customer service but this is my first time dealing with them and I’m far from impressed. They are on my do not purchase from list for sure now.
Happy a response came but this is ridiculous! Your case should have already shipped and now you have to wait because of “large volume of orders” come on bullstrap.
I am interested to see the RL offering. I spoke with Jun and the closed bottom will have the CC button. They will not offer an open bottom with the button so it’s a no go for me.

I’m ok.. I just like the proper expectations set. But I think things will be ok but I’ll see also what RL brings out. I just really would rather not the metal camera ring if I can help it but I’ll see how this all plays out. Plus Bullstrap did say they’ll bridge the gap for people who get the cut out version for when the camera button version comes. So we shall see.
Was yours brown as well instead of the green they showed on their website? I ordered a BS Maverick around iPhone 16 launch day and received it and it was brown. Got a replacement just recently and it's the same brown colour, not green. So now they are sending me a Slate case that should be arriving today.

So far pretty happy with this case still waiting on the black edition hopefully Bullstrap can get it together soon
Sucks you have to wait, but trust me it is worth it! Although everyone keeps saying Ryan London is pretty good as well! Which I’ll consider in the future
My husband has Ryan London. He loves it. I am just not huge on the metal camera ring. They will have the cc button covered tho very soon which would be nice. But eh idk. I still like bullstrap aesthetics better. I think anyway 😂

I think I won the case lottery on this one. Got my Saddle Brown open bottom Ryan London today, and man it looks incredible. The grain on it is maybe the best I have ever had. Wow, really impressed.
The grain isn’t represented in photos like in person, but really good. Still think Ryan London offers the best leather case hands down.
