Leather Cases - Patina Proud Photos

I am going to assume the closed bottom case is their best seller. It came out first for the 16 series, it got a button for CC first. Everything points to that being first priority. To me that tells me top seller. For me, the closed bottom is fine (I have the saddle brown cutout closed bottom for my 16 pro), the leather on the open bottom is just a bit better. But everyone has their reasons for choosing one over the other. I think open bottom just scares people.

You are going to beat me. Mine is scheduled for tomorrow. I guess it's easier to get it to NJ than GA.

You are correct about the open bottom scaring people. I never understood why, I've used an open bottom case since I can remember and never even had a hairline scratch on my phone. But, I really never gave a closed bottom case a fair shake I guess. Maybe this new RL case will change my mind.

Same, I have had every Apple leather case that was open bottom, and those were all less protective than the RL. Never had an issue at all. Any case dropped hard enough open bottom or not will cause some damage to the phone. I don't find open bottom any less dangerous. I also think reviewers on YT scare people too about the open bottom.

I am with you on trying closed bottom. I will note, I put my closed bottom RL on again last night and I have to say it's a softer leather feel than the open bottom. At least out of the box. It's a little more slippery, but it breaks in rather quickly. My biggest complaint with the closed bottom is the buttons. The glued on buttons just aren't the same as the integrated ones on the open bottom.

What? The phone case shows way more patina and quicker than a hand bag. You don't pick up a hand bag a 100 times a day, or hold it for several hours a day in your hand. So you can't compare the patina of a hand bag to a leather phone case. The hand bag under the same amount of use would start looking the same. Have a look at a nice leather wallet used for years. Looks just like the leather cases.

Yeah makes sense… I’ll be waiting for Bullstrap to do theirs. I don’t imagine it’ll be too terribly long!

It was worth the wait for me for the first version. Won’t be any different for the second!

If you mean magsafe,work good. Medium strength compared with Spigen ultra hybrid! I will post inside of the case later because now I’m with my new Sheath 😝

My Black RL with CC Button should arrive tomorrow. I wasn`t that excited for a long time to get a new case.
Until now I was happy with my Caudabe Sheath and really hope they do one with a CC button. But I am ready for leather again and I heard a lot good things about RL Leather. I never used this brand before.

I used a RL case last year on my 15 Pro for the first time, will always use them going forward. I didn’t buy one in Sept for launch because the CC button was a deal breaker.
