Well, Apple do advise against plateau rings in their support documents, so not sure why companies are ignoring them, possibly cost reasons and having already produced cases before this was known

Just received the Nomad Traditional Leather case in English Tan. I really wanted to go with a lighter case this time to start and let it darken over time. I ended up sending back the Olde Dublin, it was way too dark for me, and the thicker modern case walls made the phone feel bulky. It also had some play in the buttons whereas this Traditional case has very solid buttons with no play at all.
Absolutely love the look and feel of this case. I do have a LuckyCoin case in brown on the way, will be interesting to compare.

Nomad Traditional Leather in Brown, Compared to Apple tech woven case. This is the first time I am using the case on the phone since apple discontinued the leather case but 17PM is too slippery to use without case.
Have used few leather case like Shieldon/iCarer and Nomad is the best one, doesn't add bulk, have slim profile and leather is super high quality.

is this the horween one? and can you also post a pic of the front of the cases? I’m curious to see the differences in the thickness of the edges/lips.
Does anyone know what the lucky coin air case looks like? I hope they do share with bull strap because I like the look of the air case they have.
Lucky Coin Air case. They sent me a pic of it, they said it's closed bottom too. If so this case will be perfect for me.
Edit: They wrote back and said the air is open bottom. That stinks but I'll survive.
So far this BlackBrooke case has been perfect. I love the feel of the case and phone.

Plateau ring taller or about same as TW?
TW seems about minimal can get to keep cameras under ring.
While on holiday over in the USA I bought myself the Ridge tobacco brown case for my 17 Pro and the matching wallet (both discounted).
Really liking both, however the case has surprised me as the leather feels actually thick and very high quality, and smells great too!

Here’s the weird thing. I actually use a metal camera lens protector on the plateau and my Speedtest went up about 30% over 5G, my LTE microcell, and my WiFi 6 router.
Wow this looks great. I can't stand the plateau on the 17 pro. This is the best solution I have seen so far. I have the LC for my 15 pro and it is the best case I have ever had and that includes the apple leather cases.
I agree. I'm not a fan of the 17Pro design. As for the LC its been my favorite case on my 15 as well.
Eight days in with the Decoded and I have to say this is probably my favorite leather case I’ve had. Buttons are uniform and perfectly clicky. Leather is soft and feels thick. Camera button is excellent; not too sensitive but registers swipes flawlessly. To top it all off this is the shade of blue I’ve been wanting for years.

I just placed an order for the bluebonnet for the standard pro. I was excited when I saw “hurry up: only 2 left,” but now after placing the order I notice that it shows this no matter which phone you select, which makes me think it’s all a lie…
It is, I kept getting excuses and offers when I wanted to cancel the order. I only partly cancelled because of the lack of transparency, but mainly because during the long wait I’ve decided I want to use the Air with no case and see how it goes. I would still like to know what the BB case for the Air is like and the weight, when someone receives one.
FWIW, I emailed them right away and said I learned the stock might not be real and to cancel the order if it’s not in stock. They indicated that it is in stock and will ship out Monday, this is for the standard Pro version. YMMV, and it remains to be seen if this is true; I’ll update on status early this week!

Is plateau cover metal? Must not have any issues with coverage.
How's your screen protection? I just put a new Traditional Leather Black on my iPhone Pro 17 and there's almost no screen protection. I have a a Spigen screen protector on the phone and the case sides are nearly flush with the screen. Disappointing.
Yeah it’s metal. Hadn’t even thought to test because everything still loads instantaneously. Turns out this thing is a rocket.
Is the Horween leather worth the extra $20 on the Nomad traditional case? I didn't realize they even had a full leather case until now and the TPU on the modern was always a no go for me.
Likely returning my Belemay Crazy Horse case because the magsafe wear does not look good. I don't necessarily mind the ring showing, but its also got this weird shine/reflectiveness to it in spots. It wipes away with heat but I'd just rather not deal with it.

Any leather case will show the ring eventually, I have Nomad traditional leather case and I put paper napkin between MagSafe charger and phone. Charges perfectly and will reduce heat damage to the case.
