Thanks, that does look really nice! I'm more of a red accessory gal, but the red leather doesn't seem like it's going to be a good choice here, so that may be the way I go :)

Just a cautionary word of advice. Test out the buttons on the leather case before leaving the Apple store. I did this and found my buttons had a defect and wouldn’t work. Switched and the next one was perfect.

It's the same aubergine in different light.
 
am i the only one who feels like the metal buttons are a tacky add on that makes it like a junk chinese case?
 
Do they have loose cases I the Apple store to try out for feel in the hand?
 
would never buy another apple leather case. they look terrible in my opinion after a few months.

Product Red, Midnight Blue and Black. I had those from my 6 Plus and 6S Plus. I went with silicone on my 7 Plus.

The red I was not happy at all after say a month. The blue after maybe 3 months. The black held up the best, but if going with that color I'd just do silicone.

Yeah the black holds up the best, it actually looks better with use, i had mine for a year now and its in fantastic shape and has a great patina.
 
I'm thinking of getting the silicone case for the x. This would be my first apple case. Just a little worried about drop protection & the exposed bottom, bit I noticed theres a small lip of the bottom.....so I might just try it out.

Normally, I use spigen cases, so I'll probably get one of those, but really want to try an apple case.

For those who've used the silicone cases, & had peeling issues, have you ever tried to exchange / return? I'm assuming there's like that one year warranty.......just curious how many people have taken advantage of it or if they even
 
Are the lips the same on the leather and silicone? Or does one go higher up on the side.

From the apple store pictures I’ve seen the silicone seems to go a tad higher up on the sides thereby creating an illusion of a thicker bezel than the leather version

For some reason the apple store pictures of the leather and silicone case really make the iPhone X bezels look big.
 
Only ever got one Apple case for a phone and that was a black silicone one. Really liked it at first (apart from the lint all over it in the first two weeks), but it started to degrade way too quickly for the price. Would probably go for a leather one now.
 
Probably going silicon this time around. Just for variety.
Do Apple stores have these cases in stock yet or are they waiting until the 3rd to put hem out?
 
I have saddle brown and cocoa for 7+

I want only one material for x

Thinking black/leather or purple silicone for he x but only one for now to switch it up

Or just saddle brown again for x haha

Any recommendations?
