Has anyone seen the Mac system reqs? I'm tempted, but I don't want to waste my cash (2010 13"mbp). Also to echo the above, has anyone played it solo? My internet access is patchy as I'm moving around a lot so I might have a bash at the 1 player. Any thoughts?

You'll be fine. I just tried it on my Mac Mini with my Cinema Display's native res and it worked fine. At 1280x800, it'll be great.

I agree. What about your own responsibility as a parent? "Please think of the children, so I don't have to" is more like it nowadays.

You live in the Netherlands! I doubt a little gratuitous violence would offset too many of you folks.

Legalized brothels and ganja --- HEEEELLLLOOO!?

I played the first one and wasn't a huge fan...but for just $7 I had to buy the second, especially since I can play it without rebooting.

I played the first one solo for quite a while before my friends picked it up. Co-op is a blast, but it works well single-player, too. There are lots of details in the writings on the walls and your allies' comments that you might miss in a run through with other people. Haven't tried L4D2, so I can't speak to that specifically, but I just bought it (the 4 pack, so no waiting this time).

This is fantastic news, L4D2 on PC was starting to lose popularity, now there should be a fresh influx of new people to play with. Hopefully reviving it a bit.

Would be nice, but I'm not expecting much. In my opinion, Valve didn't do a good job with handling the L4D franchise.

L4D1 was a boatload of fun, but lacking on the content. Still, the third party modders were keeping things alive with a lot of very fun campaigns. L4D2 so soon after (with no additional DLC to speak of for L4D1) killed that entire scene.

People pretty much went to L4D2 and stopped development on L4D1 stuff. Some people didn't even go to L4D2 because they felt they were getting ripped off. For example I waited till L4D2 dropped substantially in price. L4D2 is fantastic for an expansion pack. Not so good for a new full priced game.

Thanks! Purchasing now...

Single player is fun, and like one of the other guys said, you can get a lot more out of the content vs. playing with others (who always seem to be in a hurry because they've seen everything already). However, the AI can be patchy. Sometimes they're uber, gunning down everything. Other times they're stupid and get stuck, or stand and watch you die while you're getting strangled by a zombie...

I was hoping for such a great price. Its taking forever to download tho. idk if its just me? 50kbs. Still <3 you valve

I'm new to Left 4 Dead. Is it necessary to buy both the L4D1 and L4D2? The price is great either way but I'm just wondering because if I don't need series 1 I would just rather buy series 2 for $6.79.

HERE HERE!

Anyway, now I'm just waiting for the Valve servers to clear up so I can download and play this. I hate how whenever there is a update or new release it's impossible to download and join games. Oh well, tomorrow should be good to go.

I have a Mac Pro 2008 with a HD2600XT (256MB).
I hope the game would run decently on this machine...

I wanna get a new graphic board (official HD5870),
but fu**in Apple still won't make it available !!!

IF Apple has delayed the released date for this GPU to FIX(?) the graphic board, so it won't move on Mac Pros 2008 or earlier, I would be really pi**ed off. (Just a hunch. I know the ones that came with Mac Pro2010 work on 2008. )
Why I think this way is, Apple has always been an a** about these things.
Them supporting only the current and the previous version, and cutting all support for models before that.

What??

Geezz Welcome to 2008... live much?
I am So sorry they have not updated Pacman since the 80's.

This is a great deal! If you have buddies that will play with you, especially with mics and sounds, do it! Awesome fun for a long time for less than 7EUR/$.

I bought the bundle with both L4D & L4D2 for 10,79EUR. I'll play L4D on PC. I like the maps in number 1 better than numer 2.

Srsly? As a full-priced game is pretty cheap, IMO - even when not on sale. But, seriously, are you really complaining about the $6.79 price? Wow!

GameNewbie question: Will a Logitech 3D joystick work on a Mac/OSX? The specs on the joystick don't say bubkus about OSX.

thanks

But I don't game! I hear the fan on it whirl up every time I blow up an image in iPhoto though but other than that, it serves my needs just fine. I don't want to spend $300+ on somethign that will get very limited use which is why I havea PS3 and Xbox360. :p

Haha ok valid point no worries. Just good to know that if you wanted to game on that machine that you could :D

Dude its 10 bucks for both, are you really that CHEAP that 4 dollars makes that big of a difference?

at the time i paid $50 for this game, and it was well worth it, what they are charging now is daylight robbery pricing (for the consumer that is :)).

Thanks for the rude answer. I already acknowledged that the price was great either way, I'm new to the whole game and I was just curious if was necessary to play L4D1 in order to continue flawlessly on L4D2? If not, there's no point in buying anything other than L4D2. But thanks for your unhelpful answer.

What matters the MOST in contributing to a good gaming experience without lag? Graphics card, memory, or processor? I was thinking about buying this, not sure if my machine's specs are good enough.
