Lenovo Borrows Heavily From Apple in New S90 Smartphone Marketing Push

hmmm..... the promo materials are obviously copied... but then again... so we have a small flat thin phone and a big one and we want a photo. Standing up and laying down, both off them standing up.... oh.... looks like the apple pictures.

There are only so many ways to photo just a phone.

Pictures on screens are the real steal. Shows a complete lack of imagination, or will people buy their phone by mistake?

It's not the same...the SIM tray is on the other side. But seriously, they did a better job on those antenna bands...Apple should copy THAT from THEM.
 
I think this rumor is a joke or prank. If its true, I hope they don't put the thinkpad label on it.

Yep, and guess what. You guys all trade there. Here’s the bit I find really funny.
Giving/accepting gifts from customers is unethical and forbidden in a lot of US companies. Except when it comes to trading in China when it’s suddenly deemed Ok.
 
Considering the leaks about every iPhone for the last 5 years have been damn near 100% accurate. Its not hard for Lenovo to just take those as close truths and start designing.

Too hard to keep suppliers mum overseas.

Agreed. Theres definitely going to be more laziness at Apple since everyone is working on the stupid watch. The product that Apple cant even explain a need for.
 
I wonder how come they don't mention how Apple borrowed heavily from the HTC One when designing the iPhone 6.... to me that's lazy and theft Mr. Ive!

No, Samsung was much worse than everyone else.
1. Lenovo's software UI isn't that similar to Apple's.
2. Lenovo didn't put one physical button at the bottom of the phone. For this one, Samsung's intention was so obvious to trick potential buyers, so that they could not easily differentiate them, especially when you take the fact into consideration that at those beginning years of iPhone introduction, not much people have grasped what the term "iPhone" represents and what level of differences existed from other phones.

The mimicry goes beyond the image and layout. The second line of text "比美更美" means "more beautiful than beautiful". Does that ring a bell?

This makes Samsung's and Xiaomi's copying look like nothing.

If the Lenovo phone is released outside China with advertising looking anything like this, Apple will release the hounds. In China I'm not sure Apple will even have a case (you can get copies of anything in China).

Move over, Samsung: Lenovo takes the prize for most shameless Apple ripoff.

Edit: Never mind, that headline was from 9 to 5 Mac...
