I wonder how come they don't mention how Apple borrowed heavily from the HTC One when designing the iPhone 6.... to me that's lazy and theft Mr. Ive!

Because you can't patent a line. Furthermore given the overall design similarities to the 6/6+, the analogous "green plant" images on the screens in their marketing materials, the positioning of the phones in these same materials, and the same phrasing used in the slogan for the phone it's clear to anyone with a half a brain that this is a blatant ripoff of Apple.

----------

Why? They could have copied a prettier phone like the one m8 or a thinner one like the noir z6/elife s5.5. The iPhone 6 is neither.

Perhaps they wanted to copy a phone that actually sold well?

Wow. I usually find the "Meh they copied Apple" arguments wrong, but this one... Wow lenovo.

Ok,

So there is one size of this phone not 2 and still by using photoshop or playing with perspective they are showing what looks like a 6 plus. Hmmm why,,?

That is just pathetic. They not only copied the material for the phone they have. They also copied the material for a phone that they do not have.

Lenovo though will cause lots of harm to SAMSUNG not to APPLE

I'll give you that they may not have had enough time to duplicate the iPhone 6's physical appearance and that that may just be a coincidence, but advertising material doesn't take long to throw together, and they appear to have picture for picture replicated pictures advertising the iPhone 6.

I wonder if Apple will somehow utilize IBM to twist Lenovo, given that IBM has been slowly selling all of their hardware lines to Lenovo over the years. Maybe IBM stops selling lines to Lenovo until Lenovo stops selling this phone.

To be fair Apple advertising style is not exactly new. Heck chances are we can easily find example of most of it before Apple.

The exploid layers that someone posted parts of the phone and claim it is a copy is to me stupid at best. It a pretty SOP a lot of time.

Yeah using the green life I think they saw Apple used it but at the same time those colors combos tend to work very well so not a big deal.

What the hell are you talking about? They didn't steal the advertising style, they COPIED EVERYTHING down to the smallest detail. If anyone in our creative department copy even 25% of what Lenovo did, like the font, type placement, not to mention the photo style or the light reflection, they would had been fire. You can inspire by others, but you don't copy verbatim.

So you signed up as a newbie just to post crap like this?

This is one of the most disgusting things I have seen in the world in a long time. Unfortunately in countries like China it's almost impossible to right these injustices because the courts always side with the local company. The best thing Apple can do is lobby for a complete ban on all Lenovo products in the US.

All phones look the same to me. They're all black mirrors with a button at the bottom. This isn't a matter of the phone looking similar since all phones look similar, this is the ad campaign Lenovo have copied.

Cue Android users saying that ALL "copying" is "the same," and this is NO different from any other "copying." :p I bet "rectangles" will be mentioned, pretending they don't think a design has ANY details other than that, and that all "rectangles" are equally alike.

And also leaping to support Android companies who copy Apple, even though copying Apple means LESS choice in the market. Doing their own unique thing? THAT would give us choice.

Please stop with your flamebaits. It's a disgrace.

You sound racist...

It's not racist when it's true.

This is one of the most disgusting things I have seen in the world in a long time.

I couldn't agree more. Hundreds of people are dying each week in Liberia from Ebola whilst the developed world stands around with their thumbs in their arses but that truly pales in comparison to a Chinese company ripping off Apple's marketing....

What? No one else in the world is allowed to develop a slim, rounded white phone, and advertise it by laying on it's back and putting a picture of a green plant on the screen? Apple has some sort of a trademark on that, too? :D

Here is the USA who has most of the worlds tech patents, that shipped trillions of infrastructure to this communist nation that has NO native tech and only has contributed to stealing, buying up and cheating the west, no one stateside can really afford to help Ebola. Yes Ebola need attention, but people are more concerned about celebrities and #Bendgate. I hear you loud and clear, but will anyone else?

I look at it differently. We all knew who we were getting into bed with when we moved all our manufacturing to east Asia but the lure of ultra cheap labour was too good for the corporations to resist. After decades of being basically treated like slaves by western corporations the Chinese woke up and decided they want a piece of the pie. Then we get all offended that this communist country doesn't take intellectual property seriously? Ahem...

And Apple copied Samsung with oversized phones. Get over it Apple fanbois.

Wow, larger screen size is really some innovation there!

Face it, Samsung has "borrowed" far more designs from Apple.
Regardless, Samsung's mobile division is seriously underperforming by their own admission and they state they are ready to come up with the real "next big thing."

Apple's entry into the "phablet" category and the larger 4.7" (the "sweet spot" for my taste), really stole the only thunder Samsung had.

The consumer wants the iPhone as evidenced by the insatiable demand for both the 6 and 6+. There is no waiting for an S5 or Note 4 because not many are buying them.

Draw me a phone

Guessing you're a fanboy? I have an iPhone 6+

I've seen bent iphones

How hard did they have to go out of the way to bend that phone?

I call that B.S.

No, it's not trade marked. But there's a thing call shameless copying. As a creative who makes a living in coming up with good ideas for living, I have a problem with people taking my income away by COPYING. However you think stealing ideas is ok.
