PEOPLE... Leopard is being released in TWO ****ING DAYS. Do you REALLY feel such a sense of urgency that you need to have it right now? Which, by the way, most likely won't be "right now" because whoever actually is seeding it can't keep up with the constant flow of leechers. And yes, I'm aware that if it's on Usenet this isn't an issue.

This isn't anything new.

Don't let it get to you.

I realize that. It's different from say, the WWDC build when everyone knew that Leopard wasn't going to be released for awhile and wanted to try it out. But, seriously, I'm impatient as hell too. It's still a minute period of time compared to th actual development process.

Sense of urgency ... hehe ... you're telling people who probably lined up overnight to buy the iPhone that they don't need it right now ... good luck!

Well I was more talking about the same as past releases. Can't remember how many days before but if my memory isn't failing me but I'm 99.9% sure Tiger leaked a couple days before release.

remember, innocent until proven guilty. you can't hold something that they haven't done against them
Not in civil cases (which contracts are a part of). In civil cases, it's only the preponderance of the evidence. ;)
I just don't understand why Apple doesnt deliver on October the 26th in Europe. If they did, then it wouldn't be a problem.

As for those of you that say it is illegal, well if it was Microsoft Software it wouldnt be as long as you hold the license for it. Media costs 20 Euros for Microsoft Products, the license more...
Of course Microsoft bundles the OS to hardware, so there is only an upgrade license for the OS but for all other products what I am saying is valid. I know, I worked for Microsoft
I assume that Apple has the same rules. As long as I dont share anything, I am not doing anything wrong.

I don't quite understand this "logic" you're using, but if you have Leopard a couple days before it comes out, then you've done something wrong, no matter which way you slice it.

Welp, since its already out there ... wonder if Apple will just go a head and release it to ADC members ...

.... then again, maybe they are keeping a copy of serial numbers (of machines) for people installing it now. (From .mac sync, registering, etc)

I've just been checking: the price of tiger in portugal was 135 euros (which is 192.55 dollars) and i expect leopard to be around the same but leopard isn't even announced on the portuguese apple store. This is so unfair. :(

but things you haven't done yet isn't evidence now is it?

Well I think in this case, it's quite obvious that at some point those who are currently running Leopard have broken the law, as they have torrented these copies.

Yup, it seems to be legit:
