I also feel weird using it when in front of people.

I only use it for alarms and texting while driving.

Use it all the time, extremely useful. It's easily in my top 5 favorite things about the 4s.
Same for me. Siri was the main reason I upgraded, and I'm really happy with it.

I use Siri a lot when driving, and when not on the go, I use the voice-to-text when composing text messages and emails a ton as well.

I use it every day in the car to dictate text messages safely or search random information I need while driving.

A lot of times I'll search the lyrics to a song I'm hearing for reference.

Don't use Siri, but I do love voice to text. I use it a lot and it is amazingly accurate.

I use it for all the things voice control always felt too cumbersome for. the ability to decode natural speech is fantastic. When i'm walking and bundled up in the cold and listening to music i use it to do as much as possible without taking it out of my pocket, including asking the time if i've forgotten my watch.

one time my girlfriend asked siri to help find a parking spot and it changed my name to "find a parking spot" ... i tried so hard to get it to change my name back and finally had to go in and do it with my dumb fingers.

Like others in this thread, I use Siri a lot for scheduling, replying to texts, and checking the weather. Where I've found it invaluable though, is changing songs during workouts. When I'm running or biking, or if it's pouring rain outside, I really don't want to take my phone out and fiddle at it. Now if only Apple would upgrade it with greater music features... "play my most highly rated songs", "play my most often played songs".

This has all been covered but I think Siri is fantastic.

- Calls/texts in the car
- Setting up reminders and appointments
- Playing/selecting music!! Love this while in the car, working out, etc.

So many people don't understand you don't have to press the button and talk to Siri while looking at the Phone. You just raise the phone to your ear and the phone automatically enables Siri.

It's really simple and easy to use that way in public so you don't feel "weird" doing it as someone put it.

The reason they don't show Siri being used that way in commercials is because that would make it very hard for the person watching the commercial to see and hear what Siri is actually doing when the actor is communicating with her.

Sadly Siri is as useful as a penis flavoured lollipop here in the UK as businesses arent on it, owing to the world jizzing all over america and not caring about anywhere else, but i am led to believe this will change next year, just in time for the next upgrade probs :D

I didnt buy the phone for Siri but use it time to time, checking meetings, or checking little nuggets of data, so yeah i use it.

Holding down the middle button on the earbud mic controller will activate Siri as well.

I use it every day while driving BUT it is a very frustrating experience!

Obviously, from a safety point of view, it's great to say to Siri; send a text to my wife. Siri will then go through the obiligatory "yes master" (I can certainly send a text to Michelle cell phone for you, what would you like it to say etc )routine that I wish would be shorter. I will then dictate a few words, for example. " I won't be able to make it home now [period] will be back later", this has never goen through the first time, Siri will make some funny sentence out of that that I will say "change it" to. But to get to the final, sendable text, I will have to change it many many many times. Sometimes she comes so close but one insane word is left in there and so its back to the start.

I end up screaming "F u Siri" and she feeds that back to me (she used to star out the f word but now actually curses back at me!) and I wonder why I bother each and very time.

That's easy to do. In iTunes, just create a Smart Playlist of your most highly rated or most often played songs. Then ask Siri to play that playlist.

This is one of the reasons they are still calling it "beta", so much data is needed to try to get the voice recognition right, especially with the huge rage of human vocals, not to mention all the various accents under which the English language is spoken. I suspect this feature will always work better for some than for others - I have a pretty nuetral American accent and it's worked well for me so far.

What I like best about Siri is that it's usually must faster than manually entering and finding data, websites, etc. You just ask what you want, and Siri gets it. Usually.

I use it ... maybe a few times a week, especially for alarms and weather. Last night I used it for the first time to send an e-mail (about 25 words) and I was surprised that it only got 1 word wrong ... considering I do have an accent.

I basically never used Siri when I had my 4S. The only thing I can imagine using it for is texting while driving, making calls when driving, making notes when driving... Yeah you get the idea.
