Nope not at all, maybe to amuse my friends/family

I don't really feel like talking into my phone around people anyways, so maybe on my next road trip I will give it a shot.

To be honest, I use Siri all the time for text message for several reasons. I know I have slippery hands, so, I don't hold and type, but talk and Siri type. It's been pretty accurate for things I want to type.

I also find this will be very helpful when driving. It's a companion and a direction helper.

It's been quite cold these days, I tell Siri to change songs when I am walk, so I don't have to reach into my pocket.

But it really depends from person to person who can take an advantage of what's offer in the right situation.

I Use Siri

To send emails and text messages when I'm unable to use the keyboard. Here in the UK, services are limited for now, so it's really just the in-phone apps that work.

When functionality is increased to include local services and other information, I will use it more often.

Siri is worthless for deaf world so no I don't use it sorry

Not sure if you knew or not but Siri does give visual cues when to speak and will always display what you say and the answers to questions such as "What's the weather like" or "Find email from John" or a good selection of other commands. It is definitely worth a try. And the voice dictation can be used just about anywhere throughout the phone where the keyboard is.

I was really hoping to get by with some dishonesty here, but I confess that I do use Siri frequently for reminders, timers, scheduling appointments, directions, and web searches. I'm getting better at dictating texts and emails, too. Honestly, I'm being honest. :)

Can i get a facepalm on this comment? Really?

That's easy to do. In iTunes, just create a Smart Playlist of your most highly rated or most often played songs. Then ask Siri to play that playlist.

Ah, brilliant! ..now if I didn't make all my playlist names in another language that Siri isn't currently enabled for... :D Does anyone know if we're able to mix languages in the same command to Siri? I don't know any of the other languages that Siri knows, does any kind soul with a grasp of English + Spanish/French/insert Siri language care to try?

I use it when I want to set my alarm or timer or to call someone or look up a word. It's a feature I will always use unlike Facetime.

Yeah, pretty much. I set alarms and timers because it's easier. That's about it. That, and to show off or occasionally for something that's obviously a good candidate for Wolfram Alpha.

Everyday. Mostly reminders in car, sometimes when im too lazy to pick up the phone, sometimes directions, a lot of times walking to car and asking where starbucks is. ;)

I use siri here and there (3times a week min)i think if the head phones werent as uncomfortable to me i would use siri more often

-to text in car (even if i have to sometimes repeat myself)
-to set Reminds (location reminds are pretty cool to set)
-setting the alarm was fun
-asking it stupid questions
-asking it to do a simple math promblems (%+X)

Siri is OFF

If it would work, I would use it. More than 50% of the time Siri can't even handle a simple voice dial command without the "I'm very sorry, but I can't do that right now" response- and since I use voice dialing while driving, it actually disables a valuable safety feature. The network is available for other features, but Siri just can't get through in my locale (AT$T in upstate NY).

I'll give her another try when 5.1 comes out.

I didn't think I would use it, but it is great while driving.... Car kit gets fitted tomorrow, so should work a dream!

siri is a gimmick implemented on the 4S to make it different from the 4. Lets face it if you put a 4 and a 4S together there's no difference in looks and performance. Basically its a $300 app that literally no one uses and Apple is laughing their way to the bank.

Why did Apple waste their time with Siri?? They should have given us a "real" great feature. It baffles me that Siri is considered a strong a selling point of the iPhone. Let's be honest no one uses it, it's wore off.

Anybody who drives, who has some type of social life or family, I would imagine uses siri all the time.

Also to turn on all alarms and turn off all alarms...
Also to add quick reminder (wake me after 20 min(when boiling eggs) ).. stuff like that.. why not??

That right there, is good enough for me..

Even though I think Siri is very useful, I agree w/ above post. After 16 month, they cannot give us new real great feature???

I use Siri as much now on my iPhone 4 as I'm sure I would use it on an iPhone 4S.

Siri always gets words wrong and doesn't seem to learn your voice either.

I can't see it ever being a viable candidate for writing emails longer than 7 words, and even that can be frustrating sometime.

The other day it failed to understand me saying 'age' and thought it was Each 10 times.
I thought maybe I'm talking like an idiot.
Girlfriend tried it, same.
Friend tried it, same.

It sucks balls.

Good at setting timers and appointments though.
