The fact that the iPhone Dev Centre hasn't gone down "for maintenance" together with the fact that there have been no betas seeded since Beta 4 with the reported removal of push notification from the SDK suggests to me that there will be no new iPhone / iPod touch firmware released tonight. Hope I'm wrong...

What did you say to Steve? Maybe he's still upset that you didn't invite him to your birthday party

Okie dokie - got my garlic bread and snacks getting ready in the cooker! all set for me and a nice apple event!

enjoy this one folks,

panda. ;)

I wonder what normal people are doing right now?
:)

Well, I'm sitting at a dining hall here on campus. All the "normal people" are sitting around talking, reading, doing homework, or on their computers (many of which are Macs).

Little do they know the whole world is about to change. Perhaps I'm the only one here who know the future...

Bah, Engadget is going the wrong way again. I thought they'd fixed that.

I know! Why do they do that! So freaking annoying having to (1) reload, (2) have each of the pictures reload, (3) scroll down, (4) scroll back up because you went too far down into the comments, and (5) finally check to see there's no new update yet.

Repeat.

I see the RDF has hit you already.:p

:) I'm hoping new iPod nano, ipod Touch - maybe even the Shuffle and something shocking about Apple TV or the mactouch tablet of some kind! =)

Mac Mini news would be nice too... guess I can keep dreaming about that though lol!
Or some more Apple deals with Google & others?

So true. :(

9:35AM Hmm, Hurley from YouTube is here, wonder what new Rick Roll-enabling apps they'll be talking about today!

9:08AM PT - We're outside the center, journalists are milling about in preparation for the event! Everyone's roped in, kind of like a small pasture.

9:22AM PT - Apple Store is down. Shocking!

They just trying to confuse us?

Looks like they are going the right way now.

I don't like Engadget as much anymore, anyway. Never understood how a gadget focused blog could take such terribly lit, blurry product shots at shows. The need to hire a real photographer.

I want a 32g iPhone!! been waiting since launch of 3G.... PLEASE PLEASE!!!

Keep waiting. I'd blow a gasket if they did. Now with the phone being subsidized, I can't just simply upgrade any longer to a higher capacity model the way I did from my 8GB to 16GB original. I now sold that one and just bought a 16GB 3G a few weeks ago. :)
