Alright people.... we finally come to it!
Lets hope that SJ doesnt disappoint any of us and neither retire!

I'm tuning in Ars!

I'm dying for Touch GPS.

And yeah, I love that picture. ;)

I need a computer before I need an iPod, but these will all be neat things to look for when I do go shopping for a new one (I have a previous generation Classic). So I guess that's why I'm still interested. Also I'd love to hear some hinting at new laptops...

i agree. i'm cool with my ipod and iphone right now. however, my powerbook has seen better days and really needs an upgrade. i'm guessing i'll have to wait a little longer for that though.

It's not going to happen

I still don't get why a lot of individuals are still going on about hopes of MacBook and MacBook Pro updates....at an iPod event. It's not going to happen people, seriously now. The updates for actual Mac laptops have their precious time during Macworld. THATS where you will see major updates to the Macintosh hardware, not now and here. Apple would rather do a silent online update (as they have done in the past for speed bumps) than present them at an iPod event.

Any QuickTime streams?

Cause I'm on my iPhone right now and I don't think I'll make it home by 1... Is apple doin' a live keynote? Does anyone know if there ton a post it up later?

I think most of us realise this... I'm not tuning in because I'm praying for a MacBook update. Of course, that would be amazing, but obviously highly unlikely. That doesn't mean there can't be a hint or two, just like at WWDC where they said there will be some "interesting things in the upcoming months." Things like that gets us who have been waiting months on end for updates some hope, so excuse us for sticking around. I'm personally still excited about iPods too, just not spaztastic crazy refreshing every second because its something I can wait on. Doesn't mean I'm not interested.

60 seconds :D

Isn't there one linked in the first post?

Lol, how dumb of me. Didn't see that, it's not that prominent in the forum. And I seldom go to the MR site itself, I use the RSS feed. So thanks.

Now twitter says my cell number is already in use... Can i reset that somehow?

Oh no no, what you are saying is perfectly fine. If you are just looking for a hint, like if SJ says "interesting things in the coming months", then thats fine, but it's just when people expect an actual Mac update to be RELEASED during this event...that's what I was primarily referring to.
