jeez
My facts are just find. The person I quoted made it sound like the Note has a 2X bright screen. iPhone X has the brightest screen ever tested by DisplayMate. I didn't publish that claim...the people who tests screens did.

That person was me and i already corrected my statement. I read a misleading review of the screen.

You are perfectly right, my bad. I read one review on a news site, and i can see after checking displaymate that the dudes on the news page only compared the "peak brightness on portion of the screen", which i assume does not make sense in day to day usage, there the "full screen brightness" would make more sense.

I think yes, as i was informed the peak brightness where samsung wins is only "portion" of the screen, so maybe Apple did indeed lower that peak brightness (as it also doesnt make sense to have a really bright part of the screen?) to prevent burnin. i think you are right about this, maybe apple was just smarter to have a upper limit on nits to prevent damage to the screen with long term use, but still keeping a nice bright full screen experience

LG? Woufffff, I do not want to pay 1500 balls for an iphone and have a screen LG ... When we see the problems of LG V30 and PIXEL 2 XL with LG OLED screens, it is not very reassuring on the capabilities of LG in the matter.

I wonder if the notch will remain the same proportion (as in your mock-up) or if they will keep it exactly the same size as the X (so proportionally smaller on a Plus model)?

Same here. The notch will slim down if not for the larger proportion of a plus model but also because Ive is back as head of design.

The iPhone X already looks cheap with the notch. Adding a cheaper screen is going to make it even worse.

I can’t help but agree with you. The 8’s design is ‘old’ but it’s still beautiful. The X just doesn’t cut it for me. Now that Ive is back we’ll start seeing beautifully designed products again.

I don’t take really take issue with the wallpaper but this Plus mock-up MR is using is ridiculous. Yes, it’s just a blown up version of the non-Plus. That’s why the bezel around the entire phone, and the notch, is shown larger than the real product will be.

Neither the notch nor the bezel width will be as large as shown on the Plus mock-up. Rather, they’ll be the same as the smaller phone.

Exactly, the proportions in the mock up are just wrong. Looks like a zoomed in picture rather than a mock up.
