Life Proof Case

Can you guys post approximately your order #? Trying to get an idea of when to expect mine in addition to watching the facebook posts.
Initial impressions:
-No. I haven't tested this yet to see if it's waterproof
-Pretty long case. I used a bumper case to show the difference in length
-The back piece has a very plastic-y feel to it. Not much in terms of grip factor
-The front piece has sort of a matte/rubbery texture to it.
-The screen protector is almost like those blister packs. It's pretty stiff, but flexible. It's not rubbery to the touch, very smooth.
-Case has some bulk to it (as expected) but it feels very light
-No real issues with camera flash as far as I can see
-The volume buttons are quite hard to push in
-The mute switch is quite cumbersome as well.
-The sound quality, i.e. playing your iPod, almost seems as if the sound comes out from the back of the case, not through the speaker at the bottom
-I can already tell some people will have some issues with the tactile feel of the screen and the responsiveness of the iPhone. You almost have to deliberately swipe or touch an icon in order for it to work. It's weird definitely but will take some time getting used to. There's a pocket of air in between the screen protector and the iPhone screen so you need to push a bit in order to make contact sometimes. I know the videos on their website state you need to "push" the air out so I'm guessing over time it'll be okay.
More info to come whenever I get the chance to finally test the waterproofedness of this thing.

Thanks... this is the first objective/useful review & set of pictures I've seen.
For what it's worth in comparison, the otterbox defender is an 1/8" shorter but double the weight.

If anyone can, please give a full review like another user previously did. Thanks in advance. Side question, how does the drop protection compare to the OtterBox Defender? It seems so fragile and just want to know how it would survive the drops.
There's another post on their facebook wall about the call recipient hearing the person with the lifeproof iphone as sounding like they're in a tunnel or having echo.
So much about this-proof, that-proof.... call quality conveniently ignored.

Yeah, super botch there.
Although, I might still consider buying one. I keep the Bumper on my phone daily but throw the Otterbox Defender on when there is a chance I might drop it or hurt it depending on what I'm doing. This would still be very slick to do some extreme weather fun with. Underwater recording would just be a blast.

I got the LifeProof case as a gift, before the ordered cases being shipped.
So, I made some videos to show people how it looks and how it function, and that it is really really waterproof, oh I mean, LifeProof

Yea I saw they gave some facebook ass kissers a free case.
Okay, we get it. It's waterproof which means sand proof, thousand island dressing proof, semen proof, etc. Adding the number of "proof" things is a marketing gimmick.
Anyway, thee audio quality when you call somebody is said to be poor. Enough of dipping the case into various liquids. Record audio with and without the case and post that.

Exactly! There are way too many similar videos showing the waterproof ability of the case. We all get it! If you want to make a useful video, make one that actually has good use instead of other waterproof videos.
LoL guys, I don't know if you read my post and got it what I was trying to say....
So, this case I have now isnt an fully product, so Im waiting for my ordered case to arrive...
Also, I already recorded the video about sound quality with case and without, made an full test sound analyses, dB, shimmer and jitter test and such...
But I won't being posting it yet, but when my ordered fully produced LifeProof case arrives I'll made an full sound comparison between naked iPhone, gift case and ordered case...
Till then, I'll keep this material for myself...
If anyone wants to do this himself and already got his ordered case it would be awesome... If you wont to wait for me to do it...
And, also, I dont know why are you so rude to us who got the free case? Reason?
We were there from the begining, I made FAQ there, answering questions to new users, gettings some new ideas and such. Must say, that we deserved that gift cases... No matter what
And yeah, if you got some ideas for LifeProof videos, I'll try to record some and post to YouTube... But i'm going on vacay for 15days, so till then bye bye!

Received my lifeproof case in the mail today, order # was 1637 and it shipped to FPO in Japan. Tested it with a paper towel in the case submerged in water for around 2 hours with weight on top of it to ensure it stayed fully submerged. Talked on the phone with my wife who said she could hear me just fine, played some music through the speaker, and as another posted stated it sounds slightly like the sound is coming out of the back. The speaker does sound slightly lowered, but it still works loud enough. I already own a waterproof iPod, so I won't be using this to swim with, but I am out on the ocean in boats almost everyday or in the ocean and it will be nice to know that my phone will survive going with me.

But, as many had said it already, iPhone 4 speakers are good, but when listenining iPod through headphones or external portable speaker.
With this gift case, sound is a little lower and resonating through the back of the case, which is normal for the whole covered tightly waterproof case...
Also, some of the sound problems with this gift case are corrected in the full produced case and it sounds better now!!!

As I said, my English sucks, so I didn't know how to explain that the case I got as a gift isn't fully product, but the case I bought and I'm waiting for it to arrive is an fully produced, and when it arrives I'll make an full review on my language first (Croatian) and later on English.
So, I think I explained this, so you can know whats going now.

The free case vedranus received from brown nosing on facebook is identical to the release version that he paid for. There will be no difference.
First of all it's VedranIus!
Second, the cases aren't same, as LifeProof already stated this, there are improvments in the release case, like sound, ring switch, and such...
So plz don't troll about something that you already didn't checked out before!
Do you have a case!? Did you ordered it? Do you even care about it? Or? What are you trying to prove here?
I'm just telling the things that came out directly from LifeProof company!
