If someone prefers the look and feel of the LP over other cases, and this is the only issue, it is an easy way to address the one issue, and enjoy the case. You are clearly not a fan of the case, but others are.

So in other words, add another layer to further degrade screen clarity. Or like someone else suggested.... Just blow some baby powder puff on your screen to eliminate the rainbow effect, LOL.

Only think that stop me from buying life proof this year but the horror of my nuud on 6 plus it was the damn charging Porte door that scratched and nicked an nice markings of it on my phone.

My offer still stands if anyone is wanting to get rid of theirs PM me, I'd like to take a shot with one because I need the protection for work!

I returned mine. Had the weird look to the protector over the screen when off. Also the case scuffed and scratched way to easy for just coming in and out of my pocket. Wasn't impressed.

that was one of the issues I found with the 6s plus version. Took it out of my pocket and it scuffed. Not even mentioning the rainbow issue

Currently using the tech21 evo check. Love it

My case is absolutely perfect for my uses so far. I've dropped it once and neither the case nor the phone sustained any damage, not even a scuff mark on the case. I don't have any rainbow effect either. Still, I'm on the lookout for if and when this occurs as I plan on taking Hickdead to task at the 30 day mark and come back here and share how it has fared in that time period.

Picked up the case today, so far no sound issues (first Lifeproof I've had that doesn't have any) and no rainbow issues either. I'll update here if anything changes but can't complain yet other than the price per usual.

Only thing I don't like is the camera lens on the case has imperfections . I have three cases and they all have spots that cannot be cleaned away :(

Good for you. We'll see how you feel about your amazing/fabulous case in a month from now. I saved your reply because I know it will come in handy.

I am here to let you know how I feel about this case a bit longer than a month after I got it. I'm happy to report that I still feel this is a great case! The type of protection you'll get and the price that we got it for when it was on promotion made that an unbelievable deal. I have on rare occasion seen a little oil streak but I have to really search for it and I usually can't see it. Maybe because of the weather? I don't know but it's usually not there and it looks great considering the type of protection you get in return.

Do I have other cases that I use for different occasions that don't require extreme protection? Of course. Is this my EDC case and is it better than my Vaja leather case or my Apple leather case? No; however, it is absolutely a great case for what it is meant to be, protection. I will take this case over a hideous OtterBox Defender any day.

I'm glad you're happy with it but the facts still remain that it's overpriced (made for no more than a couple of bucks in commie China); quality is sub-par (menu reports of rubber seal degrading over time and the charging port cover breaking/snapping off); the screen protector is cheap plastic that distorts the clarity of the screen not to mention the rainbow/halo effects.

I've had ALL of these issues with EVERY LifeProof case I've owned dating back to the 4S.

If you think these cases are worth $90 - then I have a bridge to sell you. Why do you think their customer support offer "free" replacements for this piece of junk? Heck the shipping costs they charge you costs MORE then the actual production cost of the case.

My advice.... Buy American.

I found the Defender too big & bulky. Plus a pain in the arse to access the charging port. I love my Commuter case.

I don't have this case. After handling it and the price tag, I decided it was too expensive for what you get. A buddy of mine purchased one and he says that the charging port door is beginning to crack on its hinge. When it fails, he is going back to the Otterbox Commuter case.

How are everyone's cases holding up?

I haven't had any issues with mine but then again it's not my daily. I only use it when I need the extra protection. As far as it breaking at some point down the road I have read their warranty is quite generous and they'll ship a replacement quite readily. I don't have first hand experience with that though.

Yeah the charge port door is pretty difficult to open and close. I can see that being a component that would break

Just switched over to the nuud case. And it's actually a lot better than the previous nuud cases.

Just ordered this from amazon. I have a .21 mm SP that I am hopeful will fit.

Any thought on the clear back and scratches?

I'm not sure. I'm sure that it'll get scratched eventually. But we will see.

This thing is a lot thinner than previous cases and even thinner than the frē case.

They also improved on the flash cover, it's not a flimsy screen anymore, it's a hard plastic cover now like the camera cover. And they changed the mute switch too.

Mute switch change is interesting. Wondering how well it works...

I'm waiting on my Dog and Bone Wetsuit and BoneGuard at the moment. Have a Fre and not overly impressed with it. ‍♂️

It's actually connected to the bottom half of the case. And it's an actual switch too. And they also added rubber sides for impact and added grip.

I'm excited to give it a try. Only concerned about my existing screen protector

I ended up going to apple and had them install their belkin anti glare screen shield and it fits just fine.
