limera1n - ALL 4.1 devices jailbroken!

Did you do it in VMWare of not a dedicated Windows machine. For it to work, you needed to see the Limedrop icon on your iPhone when it rebooted. If you just saw the Apple logo, it didn't work.
I used a real PC. I only saw the Apple logo, not the lime drop. What am I doing wrong?
This PC has a version of iTunes 9 on it, if it matters.
I think that does matter, actually. Upgrade to the latest iTunes 10. It wouldn't work for me on an older version of iTunes till I upgraded. And yeah, until you see the Limedrop logo just the one time, it didn't work. Try upgrading to iTunes 10 at www.apple.com/itunes first.
Have you tried recording a video and watching it on the iphone? After upgrading my iphone 4 with tiny umbrella, everything seemed fine, i jailbroke and everything, then today i recorded a video, tried to play it back, but it wouldnt go past the first frame (even though the counter showed it was playing fine). I finally just restored regularly (updating my baseband too, unfortunately) and it fixed the problem. It could have just been a bad restore, but im wondering if the whole TinyUmbrella upgrade might have had something to do with it...

I've successfully JB my Iphone 4 on 4.0.2 with limera1n but had a question.. Can I now upgrade to 4.1 or will that break things?
This was my first iPhone 4 JB because mine came with 4.0.2 and there wasn't anything out until now to JB that firmware w/out the blobs..

If you restore to 4.1 you will have to rejailbreak. You won't be able to go back to 4.0.2 because apple no longer signs those blobs and if you just jb you don't already have them anywhere
Will it be restoring or updating to 4.1 or are they the same thing basically?
Is there any reason I shouldn't go to 4.1? If I do go to 4.1, is there anything I need to do before I do it?

No you will lose your baseband if you don't use tiny umbrella when updating. Updating keeps what you have and updates the firmware. Restore will erase everything and then you can restore a backup to get contacts aps etc back. I'm not 100% sure but I've always heard to click restore when upgrading jb firmware. Idk if there is a specific reason you might be able to click update I've never tried. Sure someone else will chime in
3GS-----Im on Jailbreakme right now with 4.0 and want to go to 4.1 so I can get the HDR hack into my phone, so will I lose all my apps and whatnot when I upgrade and re-jailbreak with limerain OR is there something I can do to save all my apps and after jailbreak put them all back on in one shot?
Apparently the first step in cracking the newest basebands 5.14 and 2.10 is a success (they've been crashed) but they won't be releasing an unlock until at least 4.2 is out so not all is lost.Odd. Its ok, I just wanted to make my resell value better in the future, i have att so no biggie. I guess i had a bad restore or something, if I had known i would have just redone it again the same way, oh well, no harm done...
Yeah I can't wait for this BB to be unlocked. LimeRa1n is the first step but only half way there. Stuck using my 3G for now when I got this minty 3Gs just staring at me lol.
