No. I'm basically saying that if you're spending time at the office reading and commenting on posts then you're being disingenuous when complaining about somebody else not being "responsible" and "working."
Look, if you work swings or are on your lunch break while doing this, fine. If you're doing this on company time, then you're no better than the camper.

Seriously, to each their own but I would think there are better things to do in life than camp out by an Apple store for days to be the first one to get a product. The iPad 2 will be around even after the first one is sold. In fact, there will be plenty more of them. Maybe people should start camping out for the iPad 3 or the iPhone 5!

Looks like he needs a boyfriend more than a girlfriend. Was he wearing makeup in his iJustine website picture? His face is awfully smooth, cheeks awfully rosy, and lips so awfully pink. And that pose, with a dainty hand under his chin....
Interestingly, I just chatted with the online store. The agent confirmed the 12:01 am PST online store ordering availability. The interesting part is he stated that only the retail stores would have the iPad 2 on Friday. He said Walmart and Best Buy are not going to have them on launch day.

"Normally I only camp out over night, but since I do not work due to the fact I am disabled with a seizure disorder and I am not in school at the point, I figure I just make it a fun experience and do it for a week.
Yes I did reserve a phone, but again, Im doing it for a fun experience. I havent had a trip or vacation in past 10 years so I figured I make it a full week camping trip."

that's exactly what this is. camping outside a store to buy a retail product is pathetic and lame. camping outside a store for eight days to buy a cell phone takes it step further, into the realm of the moronic. i hope he gets arrested for loitering. :lol:
For some reason my post was removed but I'll give it another shot. Here's a reason why people might be upset. This fellow is on government aide (he told the news this while he was waiting for the iPhone 4, that's not me harassing him) and right now Texas is facing a financial crisis. Our governor has cut the education budget tremendously and many teachers are being fired. I have several friends who are extremely fearful for their jobs and a local school district sent out an email saying not to get too comfortable because they can't guarantee anyones job anymore. Were looking at classes with up to 40-50 students per teacher BUT there's still money in the states budget to buy this guy an iPad. This guy who is able to make a website, draw publicity to himself, blog, give news interviews but somehow is unable to work, and therefore the state decides he requires unemployment, which he uses for this. This is not a personal attack, these are all facts and why I hate the system.
I queued for 2.5 hours for my iPhone 4 and that pushed my patience to the limit.

Well, I respect his dedication however as a lot of people have mentioned: I wouldn't do that myself, even if I had the time to do it & money for that matter.
However, it's stupid to see people acting so high on their horse, flaming someone for showing dedication to something he obviously loves. Get yourself together guys.

It's not like apple where run out of the biggest product of the year for crying out loud. I'm told my local BestBuy & Wal-Mart will have plenty on stock as well. I hope the weather is good where ever these people are at.
