Most of the posts here make me worry about the current userbase of Macrumors. For goodness sake, this is not nursery. Why on Earth would you choose to make fun of someone, regardless of whether it is prohibited in the forum rules or not? It's pointless and downright rude. Yes, opinions should be welcome, but some of the immaturity displayed by some members, particularly on the first few pages, is rather worrying.
I think it's common sense as to why he can't get a job; who on Earth will want to employ somebody with a case of epilepsy? Forgive me if I read that wrong, and also forgive me if I get this wrong, but companies in the US tend to offer healthcare in with their employment packages. Why would you want to employ somebody with an illness/disorder? (EDIT NOTE: Just read the above posts, but I'll leave this paragraph in anyway).
To the person who said that it's "attention-whoring." Who cares? Surely if you dislike the article and can't say something nice then you shouldn't comment or dedicate your attention on and to the thread, respectively.
In the future (that is, Summer, when the iPhone 5 is out, or whenever he chooses to do one of these things again), I think that article threads, pertaining to this specific topic, should be closed or limited to members over a certain posting threshold.
Just my tuppence worth.
