Free publicity... wonderful.

Meanwhile, the rest of us with jobs have actual responsibility, and will consequently either wait like normal people or order online.

These guys are a little cringe-inducing, even among the faithful. IMHO, of course.

Agree. While this may turn into another **** storm of the guy who waited for his iPhone 4, I keep on thinking of the lost labor hours this guy has waiting for an iPad 4. Is he working at all on line? Doing web design in the tent while waiting for the line to open is a good idea. His girlfriend coming by later in the day to share company with him?

Look at me! Look at me! Hey everyone -- look over here! Here! Look over here! Hi! Look at me! Hey -- you with the camera! Look at me! Take a picture! Let people know to LOOK AT ME!

Hey -- look over here at me! Hello? Look over here! Hi hi hi hi! Look at me!

Yoo-hoo, look over here! Look at ME!! Lookit the guy camping out! Look at me!

Dude or Girl ... This post had me rolling, im trying to keep quite in the library LOL

I'm surprised Apple hasn't tapped this market. They could launch the iQueue. Lets say 5 days before a new product hits the stores, they start a bid war for each store location. The highest bidders at each store get tickets and can go in first on launch day. So they could have the top 1000 bidders or whatever, and all those losers who camp outside have to watch as the spoiled rich mamma's boys walk past. By the time the scouts get to go in, the product would be sold out (hopefully), disappointing the sad nerds.

The upside Apple make more money. The second upside, eventually we stop seeing lame news stories about lame Apple fans camping outside stores to buy the latest Apple product.

At least his mommy didn't dress him up as a iPad.

"Lines" begin?

Yeah, quite the stretch there arn. One sad individual does not constitute "lines forming."

First iPad2 squatter or something as sad sounding as the item you're highlighting on the front page would be more adequate.

the first few pages are hilarious :D
Eh I could see maybe waking up early but a days... eh. Order online and have it shipped seems a lot easier.. Plus you don't have to deal with parking

Actually yeah it does because the next person to show up will have to wait behind the person who is already there... So for anyone going there, there is a line for them.

Then if you'd like to argue semantics, good sir, it is still wrong.

That would be "a line forming."

This is why our knowhow, economy and everything we love about this country has been declining for years. Play with an iPad then do few hours of PS3ing then maybe hit facebook, go out to eat then maybe go to work and pretend that we are working. God help us.

To every young person reading, you should all aspire to be like iJustin. He is a guy you should all look up to.

The rest of us with jobs? Who are you kidding? Why are we spending so much time reading the comments here if we have actual responsibilities? Hey, I'm retired and it's cold outside so I'm enjoying my coffee and reading all these holier than thou comments.

If I were in that area I'd go chat with him, maybe go get some takeout Chinese or whatever, let him know that there are still people who care about other people no matter how different they are.

So your basically saying someone with a job cant do anything other than just work 24 hours a day?
