That is the ugliest Apple Store I have ever seen.

Nice rock planter. And geez, you think they could turn the water on the grass for a few minutes a day??

What a friggin' dump.

He probably put a tent there cause the place looked abandoned.

This is Texas. The grass is dead. Watering wouldn't help it, it's winter.

As for the rock planter, that's pretty typical for Texas. No, it doesn't look all that great, but that's just what is often done here. Suppose it's because it's too much effort to keep things living.

The article states that its a temporary location.

Yea, I love Apple products, but this guy just creeps me out. At least, in that particular photo he does...

wow.

Never understood the concept of camping when you can walk in the store the day sales begin. Except for the attention side of it.

Anyways, I'm eager to see how disappointing the iPad 2's camera and memory are going to be.

Just my opinion but when Apple hides tech specs, they tend to be lame like the Mpixel of the latest iPod Touch.

Did you even read the article...

Justin Wagoner's tent outside temporary Knox Street store in Dallas
With the iPad 2 set for launch at 5:00 PM on Friday and Apple not offering pre-orders, those looking to get their hands on the updated tablet device as soon as possible may find themselves facing long waits to secure spots near the front of their respective lines. And

One catch for Justin is that the Knox Street retail store that has been the usual location for his campouts is currently closed for expansion, with Apple now operating out of a temporary location around the corner.

I figured he would be camping out again, but I just don't see the fun in it myself I will probably be waiting in line at the same store only I will wait until Friday afternoon.

Is it wrong to pray for rain?

What a tool. This kid needs to get a life and grow up. Maybe the local news can catch a shot of his mommy dropping of some fruit snacks and diapers for him. What a joke. I hate these stories. This kid deserves less than zero attention for wasting everybody's time with his stupid crap.

At least he has mommy.

Hmm. This would be in my hometown.

(Most people use their white earbuds in public, though. After all, they came with the things: they're handy and don't cost extra.)

Guys like this are the reason why you and I get sneeringly called a Fanboy for daring to say anything positive about an Apple product in public.

I don't get this kind of behaviour. But I'm a "wait till the crowd goes away" kind of guy. They'll still be selling iPads in a month, if you didn't need one yesterday then you don't have to have it today.

By the time the Apple Store opens on Friday morning, there will be a whole 15 people in line. 14 of which showed up an hour before. :D

+1

I wouldn't even do it for a free iPad

He is probably trying to make money off his website or something, that's crazy

wow i just dont get it, why would someone wait infront of a store days before ? Like others said you can walk right in when it opens and pick one up. You cant become famous doing this but i guess you can get alot of people talking about you ;)

One thumbs down for camping out. Two thumbs down for latching onto the "i-____" moniker.

It's guys like this that give Apple nerds bad reps.

(ok I'm off to the star trek convention . . .) ;)

Guy must not have much going on in his life.

I could be wrong, but I thought that last year he decided to camp out for the iPhone 4 a week in advance because he was unemployed and really had nothing better to do. I don't know if that is still the case this time around.

MacRumors just went down a notch in my belt for giving this idiot publicity.

I sure hope nobody visits his site, as tempting as it may be to view the idiocy.

I seriously don't get it.

I just couldn't resist. The secondhand embarrassment is overwhelming.
