Samsung is dying from envy right about now

Either that, or they're shooting a new commercial about iPhone X launch lines
You realize they benefit from iPhone sales too. It’s called a diversified market. Lawsuits are just a PR Posturing.

so that will be all those days wasted for waiting in line for no reason (and probably catching the sniffles), as 50% of users being told"we are out of stock". lol

First few pictures aren't confidence inspiring. And, the Singapore one is probably mostly scalpers. ;)

Anybody here that will be at any of the SoCal locations? I’m looking to keep tabs on line status!

I thought about lining up for an Iphone X but then i remembered i have things like friends, a family, and a life.

I’m lining up infront of a store in Tokyo at 6:00 am and the Apple’s staff told me my turn maybe out of stock. But he did not confirm it’s definitely out of stock so I am still waiting in my line lol.

I was never interested in any of those things (Beanie Babies, really?) and don't shop at Walmart, Best Buy or Target. Big difference in that price strata as well.

Been to MS stores all over the country (company forces Surface 3's on us) and have never seen more than five customers inside. Always the employees outnumber the customers, with the former often found playing on the console thingy while one helps the lookie loos. The MS store is the only place to purchase an extra charger, since no other electronics retailers bother.

I guess that gamers are the closest comparison, with nitwits taking work days off to download new versions or titles. Then there is a delay and they go nuts. I don't waste time on gaming either, but do people people line up for such releases these days? Where?
You thing there is a big difference in price between Best Buy and the Apple Store? The pretty much sell the same stuff?

I haven't set foot in a Best Buy or a Walmart in decades. What has that got to do with your statement on price?

Best wishes. Why not? I bet that you'll have fun and make some friends, either way!

In Manhattan those are referred to as "affordable housing".

I like those things. Would be useful in mosquito infested areas for a number of events. Got to love entrepreneurs! :)

You said the Apple Store didn't compare with the other places I mentioned relative to price. I disagreed. Also, you are making the claim that the iPhone is the only thing that gets people to line up, other than sporting events and concert tickets. I have given you several examples and you are dismissing them because you don't shop at these places or buy the products I mentioned. Bottom line is people lining up for a product is not all that rare. People will line up for lots of things.

Not to sound like I am picking on Asian kids but a bunch of them are spoiled kids. If I was racist, then I'm being racist towards my own ethnicity. Heck, I'm even racist towards my own nationality! I love my people and rag on them at the same time.

Most of those kids are sitting around and skipping class. No job. Got credit cards that their parents will pay for. Oh, well. That was me nearly 11 years waiting for a PS3 (Nov 18-19, 2006) trying to scalp it on eBay with money I didn't really have.

Every generation picks on the younger one. By the time these high school/college kids reach 35, they will be picking on kids born in the 2010's. This is the biggest iPhone release ever, folks. I understand the hype. Might not be like this for another decade.

Yes there is 8 of use lined up at the Apple store Valencia town center.

Nice! Quite out of my way, I’m in Anaheim so the stores that would be within my reach would be Brea, South Coast Costa Mesa, Irvine, Newport - maybe Cerritos & Manhattan Village.

I love Apple but all these comments talking about the lines not existing is hilarious ... people please try not to fall for all the hype...The iPhone X design is not worth the money. By buying it you are telling Apple that its worth it. Wait till all the issues start coming out in the next few weeks, this is a first gen product, and WILL have issues, sorry Apple maybe the Xs model will be better , sticking with my 6S plus

I'm more optimistic about those kids and think they're flipping the X for profit. Why? Because I saw them at Micro Center buying up the Raspberry Pi 3 plus Google AIY Voice Kit bundles. I was thinking, damn, those kids are smart because I'm doing the same. :D
