I don't get this thread

The OP says lion sucks but doesn't use it?

Personally, I have had no issues under lion so far after using it since release day. Granted, I do not like the changes to expose but I said the same about SL compared to Leopard.

I do not continue to use things that suck/

logic-fail.

----------

I did read it and it sounds like you're being a troll. I'm out :apple:

you are out because you logic-fail. buh-bye.

But yet you can not even tell us one bad experience you had with Lion. Just what others post.

you can read what is wrong with LION on your own—it is well documented on both MacRumors forum and even more so on Apple's own forums.

are you new at this?

----------

This whole thread is a "logic fail."

thanks for the personal attack, and thanks for being incorrect, again.

If you're not willing to explain your actual issues with Lion, then logically you're simply whining because it looks like the "in-thing" to do right now. All you have to do to silence the criticism is share your own personal experience instead of insisting we read other threads.

my personal experience is that 10.6.8>10.7.2

I am not having any problems. read the entire thread before commenting please.

If you don't have problems, why are you letting it bother you so badly?
Aside from the changes to Expose (which is quite a trivial change IMO) and the look of Mail (which can be reverted for the most part), I don't think that any features that a "power user" user would use were dropped. Most of the "noob features" were additions for new users that a "power user" can simply ignore.

Howso? Is it Expose? Is Quartz slower? Are you missing Rosetta? Does Launchpad offend you? Are you finding that there is some crucial portion of your workflow which simply cannot be done with Lion?

Here is his Lion posts prior to starting this thread. No actual problems he is having, just whining.

"lion sucks hard, bunch of unknowing/un-power-computing fan-people here on MR. Go read Apple's own forums—more truth there than here."

"Lion is Apple's worst OS since 10.0, over a decade old"

"Lion is Apple's Vista.
At first I did not want to think this was possible.
Now I know it is most probable.
Look at the nightmare with 2010 15/17 inch MBP's, among all the other issues/problems.
Apple has become a phone/tablet/appliance company.
If more people needed actual computers, apple's stock would be falling hard right now."

I am not "bothered." I am entertaining a discussion on a forum. It does upset me a bit that upgrading to LION is a downgrade for power-users. Seems apple is truly becoming an appliance company. Apple seems to have dumbed itself down to the "average person."

To sum up, I am "bothered" by dumbed-down-ness...

I highly doubt you are a power user, just a power whiner.

@doug:

I got what you mean.

@ all users:

I've been using macbooks since Leopard.
Leopard didnt have so many problems.
Snow Leopard neither.
Now, from SL to Lion, I have never seen so many threads with huge problems.
Pay attention, all you haters and fanboys, I am not talking about the little issues like "Lion sucks because I cant change my wallpaper".

Lets face: for the ones who visit this thread more for more than 2 years, the ammount of new threads for this OS is a little bit high than it was in SL.

Lets forget for a momment that nowadays there are a lot more users than SL, so its expected to see so many threads. But, then, AGAIN, pay attention, all you haters and fanboys, I am not talking about the little issues like "Lion sucks because I cant change my wallpaper".

You asked for a problem?
OK, here you go, the same that doug pointed:

https://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=13609980#post13609980

I am in the same position as doug: I didnt install Lion yet. Why?
I cant! Take a look at these problems!
Are you people good at math?

If you are, then you must agree that it will be a gamble for me to install Lion, wont it? The statistics tell us that Lion is far away from being as good as 10.6.8 at this point.

And since its the only computer I have, I can't take the risk.

I hope I could clear the minds of the people who didnt get the point of this thread.

Also, This is my only post. I dont like to answer stupid retoric questions from haters and fanboys.

If you think Lion is a perfect OS, check how many threads with medium/big issues are there here: https://forums.macrumors.com/forums/152/

Also, dont worry. Steve Jobs is not listening to you. You dont have to suck his balls just because he passed out and left this new OS.

Exactly, and you can't list one problem you had with Lion.

doug in albq, if you have such an issues with Lion, take it up to Apple at apple.com/feedback.

Otherwise....

I don't get it. You can do everything in lion that you could with snow leopard. Now if you were bitching and moaning about microsoft removing Drive Extender from Windows Home Server 2011 then yes, you have a valid point, but I don't see what is so horrible about lion. It works in my early 2008 macbook and it works well.
