I have found out the reason for the scrolling being reversed is because Apple wanted the touch gestures to be more like iOS. When you're using an iPhone or iPad, you move your finger down to scroll up and flick up to scroll down. If there was ever a touchscreen iMac, I would want it this way myself but it does feel very strange using the Magic Mouse in the same fashion.

You CAN take it off, however, in the mouse settings.

It's very easy and fast to get used to the new scrolling, you just have to think about it like you're touching the content (web-page or whatever you're scrolling). If you wanna see what's below, you push the web-page up.

have it installed and everything is running very smoothly. had been using Scroll Reverser for the past few months so completely used to the natural scrolling that is default with Lion.

lovin' it so far :D

:d

woo, glad to find Lion is finally up on the App Store. Spent most of yesterday evening trying to pass the time by eating all you can eat wings at the Santa Monica Hooters for a 00:00 launch PST but that never came :(

The Apple Servers appear to be handling the load well, although I don't think we are anywhere near the full load yet, give it a couple hours ;)

Either way, the new Apple Farm appears to have been worth the money!

Already switched back to normal scrolling...

Anyone else unable to edit the name of newly created Launchpad folders..?
Double click.. Nope.
Right click.. Nope.

..

That didn't take long....

I'll see how i go, but so far, so good.

I have a few little nit picks though

Lion removes all your existing spaces, so you mud re-add them again now under Mission control, instead of moving them across to Lion from Snow Leopard.

Also, unlike Snow Leopard, you must have the application open before you can move it as Spaces is no longer in Lion. It didn't take me too long to readjust, but i thought it was a pain to open the applications I'm *not* currently using, just to move them to a given desktop with Mission Control.

Still..... Its a move forward i guess.

Once set up though, the swipe between desktops is blazing fast. Although you know longer have any desktop number on the menu bar anymore either.. so you must go back to Mission Control, or click the app in the Dock.

That's weird, I got no option to customise my install. The option was simply greyed out and clicking on it did nothing. This is booting of a USB stick. Oh well I'll just let it upgrade and see how it goes.

Mission Control

For anyone here creating and using multiple desktops in Mission Control, your in for a shock, Lion only remembers Desktops 1 and 2 only. So if you restart your Mac, any apps on other Desktops will have gone, and you will need to set them up again.

Bounce??

Does anyone know where this is or if it's gone for good? I saw on another website that someone commented that the bounce feature was hidden in the main menu. ????

7 hours to go here with 1 GB downloaded. I recommend that all other UK potential purchasers wait until tomorrow to get their copies as some of us got there first.

I have found a way to speed it up, I pressed the pause button only for about 5 sec then pressed resume , i am now down to an hour.
